I just contacted Aramark because I had read on this site that they charged someone 16.00 per person for transportation from the RR to the hotel. The answer I received was that they charge 18.00 per person for this service. So, when you consider paying between 300.00 and 400.00 per night make sure you add this extra excessive fee into... more

We were camping at Savage River the night before and due to get on the camper bus the following day, so when it rained all day we decided to leave the campground and find a last minute hotel room. We were prepared to drive to Healy as we could get a room for $90-100 there. We decided to ask this... more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It was by far the worst place we ever stayed at. When we arrived, the front desk gave us a room in Building 16. My husband has mobility issues and the walk to that building down a fairly steep hill was not possible for him. We asked if we could move to... more

We came on business to this hotel, as we wanted to try a new place. Now, the staff was friendly and I commend their customer serive. Front desk agent was polite and efficient. We had great service getting ice and towels from the employees. But, the rooms were tiny, paint peeling off the walls, and the worst smelling sewer next... more

We paid for a "view" and got a view of the building in front of us... There was apparently a problem with the sewer which was not -- thankfully -- evident inside the building. There was no place to eat at night and it is located on a hill somewhat challenging for a walk to town. Their breakfast was horribly... more

The main problem with all the hotels located just outside Denali National Park is that they are expensive for what they offer, at least compared with city hotels. But one must not forget that these hotels are not in a city, but 150 miles from anywhere!!! The hotels have high maintenence costs, which have to be amorticized and produce a... more

I was extremely disappointed in this hotel. The hotel was not cheap. The rooms were very small, much like a summer camp cabin. We visited in high season and found the staff borderline incompetent. We asked for a second key, they didn't have it. We asked for food to go, you thought we were asking for the moon. Went to... more

We were booked originally at the McKinley resort but it caters to the cruise lines so they were overbooked and we were bumped over to the Denali Bluffs Hotel. What a disappointment. I had originally told our travel agent when she tried to book us there that we did not want to go there as it is not close to... more

While I usually find the tripadvisor reviews helpful, they are dead wrong for this property. This is a great place for the independent traveller to stay -- IF (and it's a big if) you get the right price. First, you should know that the property is in "Glitter Gulch" -- the poorly developed tourist community right outside the Denali Park... more

Stayed here 2 nights. Very small rooms and had only a double bed for husband and I. You could hear everything going on in the room next door and upstairs. People at desk have no idea about transportation to train station. We received 4 different versions of what we should do. Finally got someone who knew what they were doing.... more
