The Sperry trip was amazing. There is a real sense of community among the guests. We stayed 2 nights - if you can afford it, definitely stay more than 1 night. The food is good. There is plenty if you're not a glutton. The hike up to the chalet is beautiful, and not too difficult if you're in reasonable shape. The hike from the chalet to sperry glacier is the prettiest I've ever been on. more

A hike to Sperry is something everyone must do once in their lifetime. We used the Sperry Trail that leaves from Lake McDonald Lodge and it took 5 1/2 hours to get to the lodge. It is a hard hike up with minimal level ground. The feeling of accomplishment once you reach the lodge is well worth all the sweat... more
