This is the first time we stayed at a cabin...and we were not disappointed...the cabins are clean and had western decor!...We had the cabin with 2 twin beds and it was very cozy, with a little gas fireplace that kept it nice and warm...It was a little chilly in June 2012...it is very close to Glacier National Park...there was a... Having spent a great deal of time researching the rather limited accomadation in West Glacier, we were delighted with Silver Wolf, even more so after travelling for 4 days in the park and viewing other lodging. The spaceous cabin is very thoughtfully fitted out for the needs of the busy hiker and situated close to the West entrance to the... More

The Silver Wolf Chalets are small 1-2 person cabins (for the most part...there could be larger ones but I did not see nor was offered them) and are 20-30 feet apart from one another from what I experienced. They are nice and cozy and rustic on the inside. No air conditioner but a nice heater that will toast your socks... More

Ten years ago we stayed here for several nights and were glad for the chance to stay again. Nicely decorated log cabins designed for couples. The breakfast items were nothing special. The worst part of our stay was the very loud trains running close to the cabins all night long. The whistles were loud enough to wake you from sound... More

My husband and I spent 5 night here and enjoyed every one of them. It is located close enough to Glacier National Park to make it there within 10 minutes but far enough away to feel that you aren't in the midst of the tourist masses. The cabin was clean, well kept and ready for our arrival. Inside it is... More

We stayed September 2011 for one week. We wanted a quiet, no kids, somewhat self contained cabin. The cabin was nicely furnished, microwave, small frig with a tiny freezer, and coffee maker. ONe queen size bed and bath with shower. It was definitely spacious enough for two. NO problem with noise from people. But you definitely heard the train. However,... More

I get teased about my pedantic British ways, so when I saw the sign outside, with the twee apostrophes around the word 'two' and the 'Nightly rental' sign, I wondered if there was a message here! But, no, it was a quiet, child-free place to stay (and I loved the sound of the train. It's so evocative.) My only criticisms... More

Silver Wolf was a great stay. Just a short drive to the park entrance. If you're looking for comfort and great hospitality this is the place. We weren't expecting the cabins to be this nice compared to others we had seen in the park. Don't expect panoramic views of the mountains because the cabins are tucked in the woods. Not... More

We spent a week at Glacier National Park, 4 nights on the east side of the park and 3 in the Silver Wolf. The log cabins are charming and beautifully decorated. It was incredibly quiet, and we felt like we were alone in the facility even though all the cabins were occupied. To get to the park you need to... More

The pros...We found the log chalet upscale rustic with lots of nice design touches. It was our base while we toured Glacier and was very convenient. The staff was nice and helpful. The Glacier Grill just a short drive away, served great breakfasts and Three Forks Grille in Columbia Falls was a terrific dinner spot. Make sure to make reservations... More
