A simple wood cabin in the Grand Canyon NP, with no luxury. The sheets weren't the cleanest I ever seen and has a very small bathroom. We didn't had AC, but you don't need one around here. The location is fantastic, and very quiet and peaceful during the night. The cafeteria is great with many options for your breakfast. more

We stayed in a South Maswik room on the first floor. It was not really a lodge, but a motel room. North Maswik rooms are larger but more expensive. We paid $82 for winter rate for one night. The room was dated, the bathroom was small and cramped, and seemed old. One of the towel racks fell off the wall.... more

we booked one of the better rooms of the hotel and we did not regrett it. Our rooms was very large, clean and had a nice balcony. Also it had a nice quiet location ! Parking was not a problem The restaurant is cheap and very very good. Do not hesitad for maswick lodge, it is real good for his... more

We just returned from a trip to the Grand Canyon where we stayed at the Maswik Lodge in a double queen room. The room was basic with standard amenities (shampoo, conditioner and bar soap). It was really nothing fancy but, it was clean and adequate for a one night stay. We had taken the train from Williams and were therefore... more

We stayed one night at Maswick Lodge in one of the buildings without A/C, which is perfectly fine in October. We did keep the fans running just for air circulation throughout most of the night. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom adequate. It is very "rustic," but how much time are you going to spend in your... more

Stayed one night in the Mesquite building--Fantastic. We rode the train from Williams and by the time we completed our tour, we we able to check in although it was a little early. The room was spacious and the shower hot. There was also Elk outside of our room window. It was very quiet. We had a mini fridge, coffee... more

I fully agree with the review from Indiophile. It is a shame to see how Xanterra misuses its monopoly. The quality they provide is simply bad. Yes it's in the park and yes it's near the rim and El Tovar, which at least looked nicer, but if you haven't reserved a table you can't eat there and the food +... more

I was nervous booking this hotel after reading the reviews, but I'm so glad we decided to stay here! I'm not sure what others were expecting.. its definitely nothing fancy, but it doesn't claim to be. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is fantastic, very short walk on a paved pathway through the trees to the rim. The... more

By the time we got to Maswik we had stayed at several other Xanterra properties so had got used to the magement and staff attitude that they are doing you a favour letting you stay inside the National Park> arrived about 40 minutes early but no chance of check in until the appointed time Same daft rules that they won't... more

The first thing that hit me was all the dust in the room. Every time I moved something I could see all the dust particals in the sunlight. But other than that the room was great, 2 big beds with a fold out couch/bed, loads of room and a functional bathroom (No bath). And a short walk to the rim,... more
