We stayed in the one story wing with rooms that did not have air conditioning or a fridge. In June, the a/c was not needed at all and we carry a plug-in cooler so did not need the fridge. The rooms were clean and everything worked. Okay, the television reception was not the best but if you go to the... more

Stayed at the Yavapi Lodge June 12 and June 13. The room was large and the bathroom was okay. I was not expecting a five star hotel and I thought the Yavapai was a good choice. The Yavapai is a five minute walk from the rim, and was in a wooded location. The General Syore and Post Office were both... more

I had read the reviews about the Yavapai Lodge, and thought I had prepared myself to not expect to much. I was still very disappointed. The room smelled, one side of the window would not open, the sink dripped constantly, just very bad place overall. I did not report the window/sink since I did not want to hang around waiting... more

The best way to describe the Yavapai Lodge is a La Quinta that hasn't been updated. It was clean. You must remember that you are in a National Park...not New York City. Have realistic expectations...and you'll be fine. The cafeteria had a decent selection. We only ate there for breakfast, but it had the standard selection - eggs, bacon, sausage,... more

One of the cheapest lodging options in the park and still not far from the rim. If you MUST stay in the park and don't care about a room with a view over the rim, then Yavapai is a great choice. The cafeteria is the cheapest eatery in the park and the food is decent enough. The room was far... more

Stayed here on 6/05/09. Rooms were ok...fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer. But, the mattresses were old and the pillows small and mushy! The walls looked like the inside of a warehouse. But, I guess you're paying for location. As we didn't feel like driving the 60 miles to sleep over in Williams, AZ. We ate at the Canyon Cafe on... more

We originally had reservations at the cabins close to Bright Angel Lodge. Due to change in dates, we had to switch to Yavapai Lodge at the suggestions of the Xanterra person on the phone. So fortunate! The cabins and BAL were much noisier with mucho car and people traffic. Yavapai was utterly clean and quiet, even on the parking side.... more

We stayed here in Yavapai West 5 years ago and still think it is the best place to stay. Rooms are fairly basic (although our's had AirCon fitted). The best thing about it is that it's just a few minutes stroll to the main shop, post office, shuttle bus stop and cafe. The cafe serves perfectly acceptable meals at fair... more

My stay at Yavapai Lodge got off to a great start when I was given an early check in at 11:30 a.m. This made everything so much easier for me. The rooms are bigger than I expected. I had a king bed with a little seating area with two chairs and a table. Also there was a desk, a tv/dresser,... more

My husband and I stayed at Yavapai Lodge West for 2 nights last month. We paid about $109 USD/night which is not cheap but since it's inside the Park, so it's very convenient. We got a room with 2 queen beds, it's a basic room, there was a hair-dryer and coffee-maker and the bathroom was clean. The room has a... more
