We have been to Dog Canyon in Oct, May and Jan and all seasons are great! If there is snow in winter, the deer are in the campground evenings and early mornings. It has a restroom that is heated in the winter. Otherwise it is primitve. It is a nice quiet place to enjoy for those who really love camping. There are hiking trails to do. You can hike to the other side. more
