The outside is in need of painting, the walks need to be power washed , the hallway carpet is worn and dirty as was the room carpet. The furniture was spotted as was the bedspread. All that being said, the housekeeping staff did a good cleaning job of those areas over which they had some control. more

This was my first time to Mammoth Cave Nation Park with my girlfriend so I wanted us to get a hotel instead of camping. We ended up in a quaint little 2 room cottage (bd/bath) that was in a very quiet and romantic forest setting near the outdoor ampitheatre and about a 3 minute walk from the visitor's center. I'd... more

We stayed here for our overnight trip to Mammoth Cave. Clean room, nice view and helpful staff. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and were really pleased with our meals - lots of good food and great biscuits and cherry preserves (and I'm not a biscuit eater!). Convenient to the caves and the tourist center. Lots of nice... more

The hotel is the perfect location to see Mammoth Caves. It was great to be right at the tour center. Many walking trails close by and lots of activities. The hotel was very nice. The room was average size but very clean. There are no hairdryers in room. The restaurant was very good and service was very efficient. Would definitely... more

I was pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Mammoth Cave Hotel. While the room was small it was very clean and the room maintenance appeared up to date. Our room had two full beds, an upholstered arm chair, a desk and chair. (Not much room with all of that in there). The beds were comfortable and the pillows (3... more

We have come down to Mammoth Caves National Park for years, and for the last few years have stayed in the Woodland Cottages (always ended up getting a cottage near the parking lot). This has always been a great experience until this year when we got a cottage on the edge of the woods (#204). Unfortunately, we got zero sleep... more

We stayed in one of the historic cottages of Mammoth Cave Hotel. The cottage was very clean, and was about what I was expecting. The shower was spotless, minus the mouse droppings on the floor. But that is to be expected, when a structure is so close to the forest. I can handle it. And I didn't say anything to... more

We stay here when visiting Mammoth Cave. It is inside the park so it has great location to cave tours and hiking trails without driving. The hotel has been updated some but seems run down. The room didn't seem to have temperature control but luckily the weather was pretty nice. The rooms in the hotel are small (old construction) but... more

Mammoth Cave Hotel is just a short walk away from the Mammoth Cave visitor center, gift shops, coffee shop and restaurant. It is also close to several trail heads. The decor is dated, but everything was clean. Each room has a sliding glass door leading to a small patio containing a table and 2 lawn chairs. (We were unable to... more

My husband and I stayed at the Mammoth Cave Hotel and found it to be somewhat lacking. The rooms look like they were built in the 50s, where some like "retro", and I do to a degree, but NOT in the bedding. The bed was worse than sleeping on the floor! The setting was beautiful, however the rooms were small,... more
