I recently stayed here to go on a tour at MCNP. I stayed in Sunset Terrace and had an end unit which was great. No noise (not many people there at this time of year) and I saw lots of deer and wild turkeys. There were a couple of bugs in the room, but that didn't really bother me too... More

This was the final stop of a 10 day road trip. We stayed in the Sunset Terrace rooms, they are quite roomy and clean. The beds were comfortable and the wildlife was fantastic, the deer came right up to us as we sat outside...fed them dates and banana. You have to remember that you are in a National Park, the... The worst part about planning a weekender, in my opinion, is finding a place that takes dogs and isn't a flea bag, itself. The Woodland Cottages at Mammoth Cave Hotel are pet friendly, they don't mind if you crate your dogs for a short time to visit the caves or grab a bite and leashed pets are allowed on all... More

Booked at the MC Hotel for the convenience of the location; The Sunset Terrace rooms are a strip of motel rooms probably built in the 1950's and set away from the noise of the hotel lobby and the attached two-story brick 1960's Heritage Trail rooms. The Sunset rooms are a retro delight; I am age 62 and when I first... More

We stayed here the night before visiting the caves, which was great to be on location and not queue for tickets/parking. We were given the woodland cottages, since we needed 2 queen beds, and it was probably the best choice for us. The cottages are...a different experience to the usual hotel one and the kids LOVED it. The decor takes... More

So let's just be frank here, Mammoth Cave Hotel is old. It has that vintage look of an older brick building built in the 60s or 70s and the rooms and balconies reflect that. However, we expected this and found we rather enjoyed the quaintness of the building and the decor. Most importantly, it was clean, didn't smell, and was... More

We stayed one night in the mammoth hotel cottages. Location is perfect and we loved our cottage. It was great. It is old but that just added to the character of the place. The cottage had a small fridge, coffee maker and tv. The shower has the best hot water ever. Lovely to wake up with nature right outside your... More

The staff was very friendly, despite having lost the use of their phones and computers due to a line getting cut somewhere. This may have also contributed to the fact that the ATM machine in the lobby being out of order while we were there. There are some very nice gift shops in the hotel and the restaurant was great,... The main reason to stay here is location! You're so close. Plus, I didn't see any hotel in Cave City (the closest town) that looked good. And there weren't many good food choices in town either, so the on-site food is comparable. When we checked in, they gave us a room that was already occupied! Then they put us in... More

Stayed here one night while visiting Mammoth Caves and did not expect much considering they have a captive audience. We stayed in the separate building on the far side of the parking lot. Room was nice and big, but they need to get in there with a vacuum cleaner and get rid of the cobwebs and spiders. Beds were very... More
