We agree with the reviewer who said the Paradise Inn is the absolute worst national park inn they've ever stayed in. It's the equivalent of a backpacker's hostel or camping. If you're okay with that then you'll be okay here. The views are beautiful, but for us, not worth the terrible hotel experience. The room was tiny, barely space to... more

We stayed at Paradise three times this summer, once at Stone Creek Lodge and Cabins out of the park. Paradise Inn improved its service, kept the lobby cleaner and seeme to have management changes that worked. I was thrilled to see this. The rooms are clean but I do worry about the Annex falling down from under a person. Something... more

If you are going during the season (May - Sept) it pays to stay in the park. The rooms are a bit small but since you don't spend much time in them it doesn't really matter. The shared baths are very clean and you can't beat the location. :) more

Stayed there Sept. 18-20 with wife. Lovely place, very cozy. The food is average and while seeming overpriced, I thought you got a lot for your money. The chicken parm, on the other hand, wasn't that great. Lunch salad was dry. Met another Floridian working there named Aurora, very sweet! Rooms and showers were very clean. Rooms are very small... more

When planning my trip to Mt. Rainier, I did a lot of research about where to stay. Since I was traveling alone, I really wanted to stay as close to the park (i.e. IN the park) as possible. The price to stay at Paradise Inn is steep, but for me, it was completely worth it. I read reviews back in... more

I wanted to put in a good word for the Paradise Inn. We had a small room without a bath in the main building, but since we normally camp out, it seemed practically luxurious to us, and with so much natural beauty and the historical hotel, why spend much time in the room at all. It seemed well worth the... more

I stayed three days at Paradise Inn. Was awestruck by the beauty of the 360' vew of the mtns. and of Mt. Ranier. I hiked up and down the mtn. and was totally mesmorized by its beauty. Although, the flowers were not all blooming, I could just imagine how wonderful it would be soon when they all were in their... more

The Paradise Inn is the absolute worst national park inn I've stayed in. Other experiences have been at Yellowstone and Yosemite National Parks. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Lost two nights of sleep at the Paradise Inn. We stayed in a room without a bath which is fine for us, we can manage with a shared bath. Had to walk... more

We just got back from a one week stay at the Paradise Inn. We had a wonderful time. It is a great location for a family vacation. We went on wonderful hikes and saw beautiful fields of wild flowers and wildlife. Sitting in front of the fire and visiting with fellow hikers was great fun. The food in the restaurant... more

Thanks to everyone for your comments. The Paradise Inn has always been about having the opportunity to explore and revel being at the edge of a magnificent alpine meadow with the backdrop of Mount Rainier. It remains the start off point for climbers both novice and world class attempting to summit…and statistically, only half who attempt will make it. The...
