I can't really add much to other recent reviews, the ambience of the location was great, but the hotel and dining room were subpar, especially if just recently renovated. My wife and I, and my sister and her friend shared a double bedroom/ bath "suite". Two tiny bedrooms- one full bed and two twins. Paneling on walls had been put... more

Paradise Inn and the National Park Inn at Mt. Rainier National Park were placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. This landmark status assures that no appreciable changes will be made to the building to preserve the integrity of original construction. This presents a considerable challenge for us as the concessionaire providing accommodations and service to the...

My husband and I stayed at the Paradise Inn in June 2009 to celebrate our 25th Anniversary (we have a view of Mt. Rainier from our home, and thought this would be an appropriate place to celebrate). OMG, what a disappointment. The hotel check-in staff were friendly but didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing. They didn't... more

My husband and I stayed at the Paradise Inn for one night while on our vacation. I know, I know...come for the park and not for the hotel. However, the rooms are just terrible and it was hard to ignore. Our bathroom was so small that two people couldn't be in it at the same time plus it was old... more

My parents and my brother and I (we are adult children) stayed at the Paradise in a few years ago and had one of the best experiences of our lives. Yes, the location is certainly the draw, but the inn itself was perfect for the location. We enjoyed dining in the large restaurant and were so charmed by the vases... more

Im not entirely sure why so many people give this hotel a bad review. Yes the rooms are small and like us you may share a bathroom and shower with other people on your hall but please tyry to remember that this hotel is very old and is located in a national park on the side of an active volcano.... more

As others have said, stay at Paradise for the location, not the inn. After a two-year, multimillion dollar renovation, it's difficult to see where the money went. I heard more than one employee say that the objective of the closing was to shore up the structure to protect against earthquakes, fire system upgrades, etc. That must be the case because... more

We stayed at The Paradise Inn for two nights in September. It is in a perfect situation for exploring the park but because of that you will find it hard to park and the hotel does nothing to remedy this. All they have done is put a sign up at the edge of the hotel car park which day hikers... more

This place was the most expensive accomodation we stayed at on our 4 week trip, and the accomodation was the worst by far. The area may be called Paradise but the rooms are anything but. Our room was on the ground floor with a view of muddy puddles and a car park. The room itself was very small, a double... more

So, you've decided to head out to Paradise Inn on the foot of Mt. Rainier. GOOD FOR YOU! If you have not visited the Park before, you are in for the experience of a lifetime. If, however, you are looking for a luxury mountain experience like you would find at Lake Louise or Banff (both Fairmont hotels in the Canadian... more

Our trip to Mt. Rainier National Park was a fall time outing. We stayed overnight at the Paradise Inn. The room was very small, as it contained a full size bed and a twin bed which gave the two of us very little room to walk in the room. In order to get out of the full size bed one... more
