We missed the boat to the resort but the friendly staff picked us up from the dock. The cabin is rustic and awesome and you have to bring your own food. Each cabin is floating on the lake and has a complete kitchen with modern appliances. The bathroom is convenient, the beds are rustic, and the stove is old-fashioned! it... more

I have been going to Ross Lake Resort since about 2000 or 2001. I am in my early teenage years, so I make a lot of new friends there, and never tire for adventures. Ross Lake is the one thing that makes me look forward to summer vacation hurrying, since I go in mid-July, and that is VERY far away... more

Was supposed to meet the boat to Ross Lake Resort at 3pm. Got to the access road in plenty of time only to find it closed! Crane on the Diablo Dam doing work blocked the road longer than expected. Missed the Boat.....LITERALLY! But, thanks to the super employees of Ross Lake Resort (and Seattle City Light) we not only got... more

Fantastic secluded lake with crystal clear water. Unfortunately we were not able to stay the night because we happened upon the entrance to the hiking trail down to the boat pickup. We were totally unaware that there was a floating resort on the other side of the lake. The boat picked us up and brought us to the resort. From... more

Ross Lake is perfect for those of us who aren't equipped(or willing) to backpack and/or camp. It still gives us the opportunity to experience true wilderness. It is the only place I have been where you can count the number of boats within your range of site on one hand. Truely spectacular - wonderful!!! more

Ross Lake resort is amazing. Isolated, peaceful and breath-taking. Went with 7 kids (ages from 1 to 10). June weather was a little cool but it did not spoil the fun. The resort can be book in July so make plans early. 25% off cabin rate in June and October. more

I have been to Ross Lake Resort starting on my honeymoon in September, 1980. We've been back 8-9 times since...It's priceless if you like a total solitude, getaway, wilderness experience. Pristine mountain peaks and crisp mornings. Fishing and hiking along the 26 mile stretch of the lake, exploring with the motor boats for rent or a kayak. The cabins are... more
