We had a nice two night stay at this lodge. Rooms were as expected per the other comments on this website. The beds should be better for the price paid for the room. Lodge restaurant was expensive so we ate most meals at the Lodgepole visitors center. Can't beat the location in the park. more

Wuksachi Lodge was a very pleasant accomodation in the midst of Sequoia. I have to agree with another reviewer that the dimness of the lighting inside the rooms was very true. We can take energy saving to a new level here. However, overall it was probably the best accomodations in the area, and, despite the high price, was worth it... more

I've stayed in many national parks and this was the best room I've ever had in a park. Adequate size room, with a TV which you usually don't get in a national park, and a decent sized bathroom. All rooms located up a hill which made it difficult handling luggage, even with casters. No elevators The dining room was a... more

Wuksachi is located inside the park. Staying inside the park prevents having to take the long winding drive each day in and out of the park. This convenience comes at a fairly healthy price. As mentioned by other reviewers, registration is in a separate building and the rooms are located above the parking lot with a reasonable but not easy,... more

Enshrouded in floating mists, the Wuksachi Lodge rests unobtrusively among towering Sequoias. Efficient and friendly registration takes place in the main building with its Mission style furnishings and decor. My deluxe room with a forest view was spacious enough and a five minute walk from the lodge. The dining room was comfortable and a relaxed atmosphere pervades. The food was... more

Sequoia National park is a wonderful once in a lifetime experience. Wuksachi Lodge is not. If it was called the Wuksachi Motel, and priced at around $65.00 per night, it would be just fine. But to call it the Wuksachi Lodge and charge $200.00 plus is simply ridiculous. Not even sure where to start. First, where you check in is... more

We stayed at the Wuksachi for one night in June. The check in staff was friendly, and the Lodge atmosphere warm and inviting. We had a deluxe room in the Sequoia building second floor. I agree with other reviewers that hauling your luggage/coolers to the room was a pain...uphill. We are able bodied 30 yr olds, however, my 74 year... more

We stayed there for one night only. We booked a standard room online and found it expensive. There are not many accommodations available in spring so prices are high, much more expensive than a San Francisco 4* hotel for example. And the standard is far from equivalent ! When we arrived in the evening, the check-in was done by a... more

Like many other national parks in the West, Sequoia / Kings Canyon's accommodation is run as an exclusive concession given to one company. The location is unquestionably stunning. The staff are mostly pleasant and well intentioned. But unfortunately that's where things run off the rails. For Sequoia (a not particularly heavily visited nat. park), the room costs are high. The... more

We requested a room at short notice and were given a Deluxe Room with walk in shower, probably doubled as a disabled room. Lovely decor, large room. We have not used hotel/motel accommodation in other US National Parks so cannot compare value or facilities. It was expensive to us however we imagine the location is what one pays extra for... more
