The Cabins were exactly as described by other travellers on tripadvisor - basic, pretty clean and right smack bang in the middle of the National Park, which is the main reason you book them. We had a cabin with a private bathroom which was quite clean when we arrived - although possibly a bit more of a spring clean would... more

We stayed at the Grant Grove Cabins over Labor Day weekend. Had a great camping experience. This was a first for some of us. It was a group of extended family/friends which included 7 kids from the age of 3yrs to 12yrs. At Grant Grove there is a restaurant, pizza parlor, visitor center, market and post office. It was great... more

Stayed 3 nights in Bath Cabin # 9, which is the only single cabin with a private bathroom. Two adults, two teenagers. The location was wonderful -- less than a mile from the General Grant grove of giant Sequoias, and within reasonable driving distance of popular trailheads. Enjoyed the cozy, secluded feeling of the village -- visitor center, grocery store,... more

We stayed in the Grant Grove cabins. The cabin itself was small, but adequate for a family of four. My son really liked it, because it reminded him of the pioneer days and so we played along with him by pretending to live in the pioneer days. My name turned into "ma". ;-) The room was pretty clean. Nothing fancy... more

If you are expecting a five star hotel - look elsewhere. If you are expecting a camping style experience with shared facilities - you are bob on. We stayed in a rustic (and that really does mean rustic) cabin for three nights and loved it. The beds are not terribly comfortable, but if you are used to camping you'll be... more

Pretty cheap but slap bang in the middle of the park. We stayed in June in a tented cabin and it was really cold at night. Having stayed in the other cabins in 2007 they were nicer for a little extra money. Restaurant is OK, pizza place served good pizza. Staff were friendly enough given how busy it was. The... more

I and my husband stayed at a rustic cabin with private bathroom. The room was what we were expecting, based on the photos of tripadvisor. Very basic, clean enough (bathroom was clean, as well as towels and bed linens, which are definitely the most important things!), but with some dust in the bed headboard and in the lamps showing that... more

I stayed here for 2 nights in early June. The location is great. The cabin was perfectly warm, with both a propane heater and an electric heater. I stayed in a rustic cabin and it was indeed that. There was no bathroom, so communal facilities had to be used. Not the best choice for a 56 year-old bladder. It was... more

We booked the cabins to give our kids the "camping" experience with the comfort of beds and a roof. The joke was on us when we arrived to find that the cabin, although cute, was very old with holes in the roof, no insulation or heat. There was a heater that kept you warm if you stood 2 inches from... more

Wasn't sure what to expect with "rustic" cabins, but they were really pretty good for the price. We had a cabin with two double beds. They were in a great location with many trails and points of interest within easy hiking distance. The facilities were a bit old, with the showers being the worst off. I could not convince my... more
