We stayed in the lodges as a group of 6 adults with two toddlers. The lodges are very spacious, each room is ensuite, one room had a bath (important for baby). The lodges seem well built, couldn't hear anything from the other rooms, again important with children. I have only rated the lodges as average, as there were some problems.... More

Went to the Winter Walking Festival in Aherlow and stayed in the Aherlow House Hotel. We had a great time, the hotel was geared completely to making our stay very comfortable and well fed. The staff were brilliant, so nice and extremely organised. The management were all hands on and very helpful. The team organising the walks were on top... More

Myself and my family recently stayed here for one night, and one night only thankfully. Although all staff were very friendly and courteous, and rooms were well equiiped and spacious, the hotel itself was utterly FREEZING. Unacceptable to find cold radiators in December. At no stage during our stay was there any heat put on, and upon reporting this, the... More

This place was in a great location with a wonderful view. The accommodations were roomy in the lodges and well equipped. However, I believe we were there off season (1st week in Oct). No one manning the place. No pub, no coffee or tea, NO ONE anywhere. They checked us in and left us. Never saw them again. So, a... More

What a lovely hotel, the setting was fantasic. The service excellent. On the door step of lovely activities, such as hill walking. We stayed for a weekend, our deal included a bed and breakfast and one dinner. The meal was fantastic, the two ladies in the restaurant were so friendly and helpful. Have just returned fro a walking weekend at Aherlow House. I must say its a pleasure to see that there are still places in Ireland where first class service can be enjoyed at reasonable cost. From the time we were met at reception by the owner Fergal, who is a keen walker himself, we were made feel totally at home.... More

The hotel sits in the Glen of Aherlow, and most people go there for nature and other outdoor activities. We chose it for a Tipperary location, midway between Killarney and Dublin. The rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable and functional, but rather plain and nothing special. Our bedroom was also very plain, but quite comfortable. There is a wonderful... More

Stayed in Aherlow Lodges for 2 nights. Lodges are large & spacious and were clean. Travelling with a baby & surprised that could not fit our (standard sized) pram down the hall of the lodge - had to lift it over the edge of the bottom stair step to get in! The bed was soft but comfy enough but our... More

Dear Caroghan Thank you for taking the time to post your recent review and for the positive and constructive comments contained there in. The absence of a lift remains an ongoing challenge for us but I am delighted at least that we were able to offer you an alternative and that, the lodge proved suitable for your and your family.... We are just home from a great stay in one of the beautiful lodges in Aherlow hotel, we so enjoyed our stay, staff were very helpful, and made us feel very welcome, scenery was just out of this world, and our lodge was spotless clean, with all mod cons. The situation of the hotel is great for doing day trips... More
