Stayed in a room at DCU for 5 nights in August 09 while attending an international conference there. My room was part of an 'apartment' which consisted of a number of rooms off a corridor - bedrooms with ensuites plus a common room with kitchenette, dining table and chairs and some lounge furniture. This was a great setup for our... more

Don't bother staying here. This is a college dorm, and not a very good one. It is small, sparse, dirty, and in a horrible location. Dining facilities on campus typically close early, and there is no convenient dining option nearby. The room had a small bed, built in desk, and small bathroom with a very dirty shower. My stay was... more

My fist room was a bit out-dated room on street level and wasn’t cleaned after previous visitor. I changed the room because the young people made so much noise on the pedestrian street I couldn’t sleep. The second room was more modern and more spacious. Breakfast was great, although it was a bit strangely organised. You had a voucher valued... more

DCU has recieved both good and bad reviews. To me, the goods overshadow the bads. Actually, there aren't too many negatives to point out, at least not to a young student traveling with the intention to explore. First things first; location. The University is situated fairly far from the city center - at least for walking. Getting to and from... more

We booked this via Ryan Air website through Expedia believing that it was a 3 star hotel situated in the grounds of the university. It's not!!!! This accomodation is student accomodation sold to the general public under false trading description. After arriving at the airport , at midnight, amass thousands of other people we eventually found a bus that would... more

Good points were the friendly and helpful receptionists , clean towels every day and fantastic breakfasts. Bad points were the foreign students - mainly Italians who shouted outside the residences late at night/early in the morning as they returned from socialising, the different lot of Italian students who congregated noisily in the courtyard at 4 am on our leaving day... more

We stayed at this hotel last week. The room was clean, and primitive. Shower only had a curtain, so water always ended up on the bathroom floor. Reminded me of gym school showers. I would consider this a 2 star hotel. A lot of teenagers there for summer school and were very noisy. Not much supervision (they were rude, noisy... more

I booked this hotel believing it´s nice accomodation with no students at summer but it didn´t turned out to be just like that.. I´ve had to be up late because of these Italians football lovers whatsoever screaming and yelling 'till 0100 am.. Sure they go inside after 11 pm, but afterwards they gather around someone´s apartment and beeing so noisy... more

I booked this college dormitory through hotels.com thinking it was a hotel and conveniently located to Dublin Airport. First, it's not a hotel and should not be presented as such and secondly it's right at 20 minutes to the airport at an $18 Euro fare by taxi. On the positive side, the rooms are very clean and do have a... more
