We found out about a great deal $50 for a condo or King suite until June 09. We stayed in a Condo. Perfect for my wife and I- maybe a bit small for a family.. Nice bed bed , fire place , 2 LCD TV's and a very well equipped kitchen. The location is amazing - over looks the harbor... more

We stayed in one of the houses with 2 other couples and had a very pleasant experience. The house was huge, nicely decorated, super clean and had a beautiful deck. The Lime Kiln Cafe breakfast was delicious and fresh. The food at the Madrona Grill was very good. but kind of pricey and the service at Madrona Grill was slow.... more

I wonder why people whine when they get what they pay for but its seemingly not what they thought it would be. maybe its because they didn't or can't think. I stayed at the hotel d haro july 3rd and 4th 2008. It was the july 4th celebration and the resort was busy and all accomodations were full. I got... more

I've wanted to stay at Roche Harbor for years, but was terribly disappointed. We booked three rooms in Hotel de Haro. While rooms were clean, they were terribly worn out and out dated. Holes in walls, peeling paint and wallpaper. Everything felt patched together. The rooms share one men's & one women's restroom per floor - the second floor ladies... more

This resort is just poorly managed. On the surface it's a beautiful setting, historic buildings, absolutley georgous gardens and landscaping but the attention to detail in the rooms is missing. We paid $280 a night for a cottege that was furnished like student housing. It had holes in the floor, peeling paint everywhere and hardware that does not work. We... more

I love the San Juans & had wanted to stay at Roche Harbor for a long time ... what a disappointment!! We stayed in the Presidential Suite in Hotel de Haro. I expected clean, well-preserved & restored, and an elegant restaurant. What we got was a filthy suite which had an overwhelming smell of dank dirt & mold, cheap 1960s... more

This is an amazing resort. There are MANY housing options--configurations and price ranges. We had a large group. We saw the old hotel (Charming--loads of character, with some mold), the cottages (Great space--clean and perfect for families) and the condos (Our favorite--across from the main resort, but super clean, great space, lovely views, and a fireplace!) The customer service was... more

Where do I start, OK do not go here, stay in Friday Harbor. The condos are a death trap for todlers with 2nd and 3rd floor stairs and balconies that have 10 inches openings. Bathrooms that do not work and leak to the bottom floor. Cannot drink the water, it tastes so bad, does not have washer and dryer in... more

I'm glad others have enjoyed their stay at Roche Harbor, but the previous reviews misled us to expect a much, much nicer place. The minute we stepped into our condo, the sight and smell made our spirits sag. The condos are vintage 1970's ticky tacky, with furnishings at a Motel 6 standard. Our kids immediately noticed a smell of sweat... more

Roche Harbor has beautiful natural scenery with real cute historic buildings. We stayed at the resort's condos with real nice views towards the marina. The condo was not fancy but very clean and comfortable. The location is what is so excellent about the condos. You can walk to the wonderful McMillan Restaurant, the De Haro Hotel Victorian Gardens, the Roche... more
