We have stayed at the Addo dung beetle many times and we love the friendly service and great cottages. The food in the evening is first class and we will returning again in March together with our family in December 2012. More

A visit to the Dung beetle Guest Farm is with it's luxury accommodation is a real African experience. The Bush cabins took us by surprise as each one is situated privately in dence bush. It is fully equipped for self catering, with barbeque facilities and enough firewood for the whole night. The secluded ablution facilities at each cabin, under a... More

We stayed 2 nights and between us had 3 chalets. The chalets were incredible : tastefully furnished and loads of character with extensively used local wood and artwork, large comfortable beds, and the outdoor shower was perfect for a wake up at 5.00am! We enjoyed a braii on night one with other guests and on night 2, drove to a... More

Addo Dung Beetle was amazing!!!! Great service and great rooms. We stayed in the bush cabins, which really were about 100metres into the bush, so very private and a great experience. The cabins are basic, just a bed in a hut, however the huts have amazing outdoor fireplaces to sit around at night and enjoy a few drinks with friends.... More

Lovely setting for our bush lodge. fully-equipped kitched and delightful outdoor toilet and shower. Made use of the jacuzzi and very basic gym. The walk from car to accommodation is long, avoid when raining! More

My husband and I stayed at the Dung Beetle for 2 nights quite recently, it was such a wonderful experience that I felt the need to write my first ever trip advisor review. I cannot praise Rod and Magna enough, they were charming, welcoming, caring and nothing was too much trouble. Rod’s game drive was fun and informative – he... More

Our three night stay at the guest farm was excellent. Great food, accomodation and Rod and Magna ( and the kids) were really welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms top notch and tours organised by Rod were really good. We would recommend this stay for all groups of people from sigles to families and friend groups. More

Staying in the bush cabins for 3 days is as close as you can get to feel nature without loosing any bit of the luxury you are used to. Taking a war shower in the middle of scrub forest is something you that stays in you mind. Having a fridge, kitchen and braai area (that's what the ppl. call a... More

We had the most amazing time at Addo Dung Beetle and will definitely be going back on our next trip to South Africa. We stayed in one of the bush cabins and it was a fantastic experience! Rod and Magna were great hosts and couldn't have looked after us better... You would be crazy not to stay with these guys...... More
