Great little pub, great beer. Busy at weekends with campers/walkers. Usually always a friendly welcome, plus they allow dogs! Great! The Sun is the best pub in Pooley Bridge - never go to the Crown, down the road, its absolute rubbish!

Thank you for a wonderful long weekend 15th-18th February 2013. The room was great, the bed was so comfortable the food was fantastic and everybody was so welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend to anybody looking for somewhere to stay with beautiful walks and scenery.

A very friendly hostelry placed in an idyllic village on the banks of Ulswater. The Hosts were very friendly and could not do enough for us. Accommodation was a good standard and food was good and reasonably priced defo a return visit calling
