I dont often write reviews but was very impressed by the warm welcome of the owners, great food and nice clean modern rooms. As someone who spends a lot of time staying away with work it is nice to find somewhere that little bit special. Ullswater house ticks all the boxes and is great value for money. More

I would like to endorse everything that everyone has said about this B & B. Not knowing what to expect on our UK 'road trip'' we booked this B & B online with some trepidation, but upon our arrival we were pleasantly surprised to be greeted with a friendly smile and a spotlessly clean room. The weather was not the... More

There are no many B&B using white duvet covers, when I first entered our room (No. 1), I just wanted throwing myself on the bed when I saw the shiningly white bedding! The room was so clean, the duvet looked like it was just freshly out of the package; the towels in the bathroom were also white and felt as... More

My wife and I stayed at Ullswater House on each leg of a trip to Scotland. Having booked online and into the unknown, we had no idea what to expect, and we certainly didn't anticipate being quite so bowled over by the welcome. Everything is spot on -decor, spaciousness and appointment of rooms, friendly owners and hearty breakfas. Brilliant. Thank... More

This is a very good B&B positioned at the heart of PB - three pubs within a one minute walk! One thing that always can make or break your stay concerns first impressions. We arrived earlier than we arranged and were absolutely soaked following a cloudburst on the fells. The owners could not do enough to help us out and... More

Stopped off on a trip up to the Hebrides. Provided exactly what we wanted. Comfortable en suite room and good breakfast. Situated about 5 miles off the M6 in a picturesque lakeside location with a good pub opposite, and lakeside and fell walking within walking distance. More

our stay at the Ullswater was really amazing. Tracey and Diane were brilliant ,they made us feel part of their family whilst delivering a brilliant service. Nothing was too much trouble- they anticipated your every need ...even a hot water bottle with a pink fluffy cover produced for me! and extra tomato instead of mushrooms for the husband who didnt... Ullswater House is a lovely place to stay in the Lake District. We had a very warm welcome and our room was spotlessly clean. There was a huge super king-size bed and the room was very spacious, cool and airy. The rooms were modern, but still had 'country cottage character'. The bathroom was small, but very clean and lovely natural... More
