We ALL lit on the Sliced Beef, Yorkshire Pudding, and Roast Potatoes. Scrumptrilescent! Just like our British neighbors the Battles used to make for us on Sundays for dinner. If you don't order it, what're ya thinkin'? Also warm atmosphere and friendly staff.

Stopped here after a lovely walk around Tintern, they kindly let us leave the car here, and we stayed for lunch, we both had the brie and bacon bagetts served with chips and were very nice indeed, would recommend them, however the place could do with bringing up to date, we stepped back into the 70's but pleasant enough.

Returning from a visit to Symonds Yates today we decided to stop in Tintern for a meal. This looked to be a very pleasant place, plenty of tables outside to enjoy the sunshine and equally pleasant in the bar where a cheery greeting awaited. Purchased our drinks and ordered Tuna Mayo baguette for myself, and Beef with horseradish baguette for... More

The proprietors, Barry & Sue have been here for some some and obviously have the Hotel exactly as they want it. Perfectly welcoming, clean and comfortable- if a little twee. Dogs are welcome to the point of being allowed in the Dining Room, sitting at table level and being fed from the plate by their doting owners. We are dog... More

We needed somewhere to stay near Chepstow that would take dogs and found the Wye Valley Inn. The rooms are a good size and fresh - and the pub food is a good standard. We had steaks the first night which were nicely cooked and the Ratatouille parcel the following night, which was delicious.

My husband and I spent a night at this hotel last week. This is a lovely hotel set in a beautiful location. We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We had an evening meal which was excellent. We will be going back again.

A wonderful family run hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable room, excellent food in the restaurant and good breakfast selection. The bar has a friendly atmosphere and the local beer is excellent. The position allows easy access to the abbey and views of the river but above all the service and attentivness of the staff (owners) would not embarras a four star... More

My husband and I have just spent three days at this hotel and we cannot fault anything about the service, meals or accomodation. Sue and Barry could not do enough for us during our stay. They made us feel very welcome, gave advise on the area and places to visit. The food is excellent and plenty of it. We would... More

After leaving Bangor after one of the snowiest March weekends for a while we were able to get out on a just reopened A5 at Llangollen and headed home through Border country. We got here at 8.30 p.m. and found a lovely snug bar with a fire. Bliss. Super service with a free coffee refill for me (as the driver... More

We go every year at Cheltenham festival time as its a very quiet relaxing stay , but not too far from the hustle and bustle of cheltenham and the prices have not been hiked up , so very good value for money: The Food is excellent and the scenery is beautiful: Sue and Barry are fantastic hosts and can't do...
