Having spent the last 2 weeks of August 2008 driving round Scotland, I can vouch that the country certainly throws some amazing surprises at you - mountains, hills, woods, sheep, cows, lochs and general all round beauty. All these attributes can be found at The Strathoich.

We found this amazing B&B off the A82 between Invegarry and Fort Augustus, purely by chance - but what a find!

The house has only recently been built but retains some real old fashioned charm. There are 3 rooms available; a double, a twin and a family room, so take your pick as to what suits you best (the family room upstairs has the pick of the views).

The house sits amongst some incredible scenery and it's worthwhile just sitting on the porch for a few hours watching the sun go down. The family run a farm so you can look out on the farm from the porch and if you're lucky catch the sheepdog busy at work.
