I stayed in the Novotel Schiedam last night on a business trip. I can't comment on the area or its proximitry to places because I arrived and left under the cover of darkness and was whisked straight to company offices. But the Hotel its self is very pleasant. For a chain, 'big-box' hotel, this was quite pleasant. Nice rooms, nice staff, and conveniently located. A bonus feature during the heat wave of July 2006 was an outdoor swimming pool. The restaurant was surprisingly good also. We will stay here again on future visits to Schiedam. more
