Our experience here is beyond words. The emotion that surrounds this unique beach hotel is powerful. It's location is on the battlefield of the D-Day invasion. It's on a quiet street. Beautiful grounds. Wonderful food. Huge rooms. Very relaxing. Very, very quiet, except for the sounds of children playing.

My husband and I chose La Sapiniere as our base for exploring this part of France. Just steps away from Omaha Beach, it was the perfect place for my history-buff husband. The room was comfortable, clean and roomy and the restaurant served great food. The owner and her staff were friendly and very helpful. We hope to return someday.

This is a perfect place to stay if you're going to see the beaches of Normandy. There's no ocean view but it's a very short walk to the beach (literally 2 minutes or less) and about a 15 minute walk to the famous "les braves" sculpture on the beach.
