Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Clean and cosy and great to get away from technology for a week. Enjoyed the walks and the peace and quiet. Loved the log burner during the cold evenings. The hot tub was fabulous during a snow shower

We have been coming to Alpine Grove for many years, this visit my friends and I wanted to stay at the new Nuthatch lodge. It was beautiful! :) The attention to detail was wonderful, it’s slightly smaller than some of the other cabins but the patio doors looking out to the hot tub and internal extras were brilliant. The wine fridge came in handy ;0) We can’t wait to come back soon!

Had a lovely stay at alpine Lodge log cabin, the cabin itself was larger than we thought it was going to he with plenty of room in both bedrooms. Kitchen comes with everything you need to prepare and serve meals and bathroom had lovely soft towels. We all commented how much thought had gone into using eco friendly products ( washing up liquid, hand soap and even the toilet paper) The cabin itself feels like you're surrounded in a private forest and the little shop was very convenient. A lovely stay!

Lovely campsite that felt small and cozy, even with lots of spaces as the trees and bushes make a maze of hidden spaces. We were in a cabin with family camping. The cabin was very comfortable and spacious. Cool under the trees on hot days, with a fire if it wasn't. Friendly , helpful owners. Lots of thoughtful details. A quiet for er in the woods for a weekend escape.

Another lovely stay in a log cabin. We've now stayed in all four of them and as they are similar in design they are all great, there's just a difference in the beds in the second bedroom. Some mattresses are better than others though! The hot tubs and wood burners are a definite favourite. The site is lovely and quiet with lots of birds. The owners of Alpine Grove are lovely people and always available to help if you have a problem or a need. Highly recommend this place for a short break away.

A delightful site with lovely surrounding countryside. The cabins are beautifully appointed and very clean. There was ice in the freezer and things like loo paper, dishwasher tablets, etc provided. We had the most brilliantly relaxing and restorative few days, despite the rain! Hit tubbing in the rain is to be recommended.

The most beautiful spot. It's a great location to explore the South West, but the trees make you feel hidden away whilst giving the children an opportunity to play and explore. This is our 3rd visit, but the first time in a lodge and it was fantastic! We'll definitely be back next year and booking into a lodge again.
