While we were visiting Boothbay Harbor we stopped at the Visitors Center. They suggested Ships Ahoy Motel in Southport and we are glad they did. We liked it there so much we booked an additional night and if we ever retrun to Maine we will stay there for the week. We chose this motel because of its proximity to a wedding venue, knowing that it was quite basic. It is. However, we found it to be clean and adequate.
