This was our second stay at the Allamanda Beach Club on Shoal Bay. The hotel is, as others have mentioned, nothing special. It is dated, and could use some upgrades for sure, but it is very clean and more importantly the best value on the island. If you don't need to stay at a 5 star hotel and expect to... more

First let me say: this place is no Four Seasons. It is definetly older and more charming - the rooms are quite old and somewhat run down, but the bed was comfortable and provide more than enough for people wanting to explore Anguilla on a non-millionaire budget! We arrived in the evening and checked in - just FYI the hotel... more

I'm giving this a 4 Star because of price. I only paid $120, which for the Carribean, especially Anguilla which is one of the most expensive islands in all of the carribean, is very cheap. Set your expectations low and you will be ok. The rooms are very basic and are in need of repair and remodeling. They are very... more

We just returned from a spectacular week (June 27th-July 4th) in Anguilla. The Allamanda was exactly what we were looking for and lived up to expectation in every way. We are quiet and self-contained people and were looking for a clean and pretty place, with a kitchen, close to one of the world's fabled beaches. Everything worked out perfectly. The... more

This was my second trip to Anguilla, and also my second stay at the Allamanda Beach Club...What you need to understand about this hotel is that it is far from luxurious, as many of the resorts on the island are..but it is simple, basic, and located on one of best beaches in the caribbean. This is why I decided to... more

We spent most of a week at Allamanda in May. Our flight arrived on Saturday after 9pm and we had read here that the office is closed on Saturday and is usually not open late other days. I emailed the office and they arranged for Don from Don’s Taxi to meet us at the airport and show us where our... more

Stayed at Allamanda for 1 week on Jan 14. Top floor room was large & clean. kitchen was fully equiped. Thank goodness since there was no breakfast or lunch available at Allamanda ( even though a plaqard in the room stated continental breakfast for $14 US). The small pool was clean & nearly always empty of people. The resort provided... more

The Allamanda Beach Club has a superior beach location on Upper Shoal Bay east that was the highlight of our stay in Anuguilla. The water is crystalline clear and the sand is a silky white powder. Equally wonderful is the snorkelling to be had right in front of the hotel. The hotel provides a few beach chairs which we moved... more

The Allamanda is definitely not a deluxe resort, but its positives are the quiet location, a very good on-site restaurant (Zara's), close proximity to other restaurants, and most importantly for us, a 2 minute walk to a beach in a cove that had the best snorkeling that we experienced on the island. Also at the end of the pathway from... more

This was our first trip to Anguilla and stayed at the Allamanda Resort for two weeks (9/15-9/29/07) and have to say it was extremely quiet. Due to the off season, and we knew this prior to our arrival, there were many restaurants and other resorts closed so there were hardly any tourist on the island. After reading many reviews on... more
