We arrived in Antigua on a hot sunny day and were taken to the hotel in a mini bus. On arrival the reception area from the outside didn`t look particularly impressive. We had a warm welcome and after dealing with the administration you always get on arrival somewhere, we were taken to our beach front bungalows. They are not very... more

We were heading to St Kitts, but thought we'd spend four nights in Antigua as well. Checked the reviews on Tripadvisor around August 2007, and booked the Hawksbill in Antigua, and Timothy Beach Resort in St Kitts. Guys how did you get the Hawksbill so wrong!! Let me start by saying that the location and staff are really great –... more

When we got to the resort after a long flight served with champers and oj and everything felt better. Everything about the resort was top notch the accom, the staff, the food all great. The only thing was when we first got there thought the pool was a little small but the sea was so warm nobody seamed to bother with... more

First impressions we're not good. It wasn't the hotel's fault that the flight arrived during a rainstorm that caused the pilot to abort his final approach (he couldn't see the runway!) but the taxi journey from the airportto the hotel was very dark and wet. An over officious front desk clerk needed the guiding hand of the General Manager to... more

We stayed for a week at the end of July and loved the chilled and relaxed vibe. We were greeted on arrival with champagne and as it was off season were upgraded to the beach club bungalow rooms on Royal Palm beach and loved this quiet side of the resort. As the beach is only a few steps away from... more

4 beaches of golden sand. 111 rooms spread over a large area. Not cramped or noisy perfect for honeymooners and families. Didn't see our 13 year old during the day or evening, bliss. He teamed up with other teenagers and had a ball. The staff were friendly, helpful and always smiling....Get to know them by name they are wonderful and... more

Hawksbill is a really pretty place (even by Caribbean standards)..lovely beaches- all four of them, including the nudist one! The hotel is a little tired (room had no phone, TV or aircon) but with the exception of the security guy, the staff were wonderful; they couldn't have been more helpful Regarding the security guy, given the recent awful murders I... more

I have stayed at the Hawksbill 12 times, the first visit in '90 and the most recent in '03. A word on Oliver: I know him. He is an intelligent, kind and gentle Antiguan who loves the "Fourth Beach," Eden Beach's former name. The person who complained about him is mistaken. Just say "no thanks" to Oliver if you don't... more

Our arrival at Hawksbill was greeted by a glass of champagne which was very welcome on a hot day. We were booked to stay in the Honeymoon Cove rooms fitted (Room 138) with Air Con thankfully, the room was a little tired but clean comfortable and serviceable and the best part no TV or radio. The room faced away from... more

We stayed at the Hawksbill on recommendation from our travel agent and some friends who had stayed there. We were not disappointed! The location is breathtaking, and it is very quiet. We were upgraded to an Ocean front bungalow on arrival and found it to be perfectly adequate for our needs. The rooms are not luxurious, but they are very... more
