We recently returned from our honeymoon at the Grand Pineapple and enjoyed it very much. We were about the only Americans there at the time, which made it kind of fun trying to figure out everyones accents. The beach is unbelieveable and the water was perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The food was average, but always plenty to eat (the... more

My husband and I visited the Grand Pineapple for our Honeymoon. We had booked our trip thru expedia which was a nightmare. The grounds themselves are very nice. Security gaurds were always around. However if you asked them any questions re: the hotel or the island, they had no idea. The beach was gorgeous but no shells or anything great... more

We stayed for half term week with two of our children aged 13 and 21.We were upgraded to beach front rooms. The position of the hotel is idyllic with a fantastic white sand beach and turquoise water.Initially we were concerned that we were on the east coast (Atlantic side) rather than the more popular north and west but we did... more

What can we say? Excellent. I can't understand all the negatives about this resort. We had read some of the bad reports about this resort and when we arrived we were very surprised. We did have one question when we checked in. We had to pay a $200 deposit. Which we were told before we left we did'nt have to... more

Resort is pretty, food is awful both us got EXTREMELY sick from the food. Cheap liquor. Out of all the staff only 3 people were nice the rest looked at us like they hated us. Very boring with the night entertainment. Room is wet and stinky. Great snorkeling and the island itself is very pretty. If you go to Antigua... more

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We had an ocean view room which was really good and the view fabulous. The hotel grounds are really well kept and the beach is stunning. Food was okay to good but we never went hungry! The drinks are in abundance including good brands. The only thing not included is water... more

I just don't understand all the negative reviews. We have stayed at about 12 resorts scattered around the Caribbean, Hawaii and Mexico and this resort was by far the best. Important to note however, we never book at anything greater than a 4 star. This resort is a four star by Caribbean standards and I'm sorry unless you are in... more

Afraid to say we echo muchtravelledbristols view as we were there at the same time, no need to echo the problems with this hotel. Our other problems were as follows: We went on our honeymoon to the GPBR and, because hotel was only half full, we were promised a room upgrade, this never happened and we should of received a... more

We stayed at the Grand Pineapple Beach Resort for two weeks between September and October 2008. BEACH/LOCATION The big plus point for this hotel is the great beach with fine sand which gently shelves into the sea. Sheltered by reefs which keeps the water lovely and warm. Plenty of water sports provided. Great fun to watch the Pelicans circle overhead... more
