The reason we went to this hotel was due to a Cable advert a few years back. The food is excellent, especially the themed restaurants. However, our bath had large chips out of it and what looked like rust coming through. An attempt had been made to replace tiles, the new ones stood out like a sore thumb, the grouting... more

This was our first trip to Aruba. We loved Aruba, the ocean is beautiful, we went snorkling at our resort (not much to see in front of the resort), but we went to several awesome locations just North of the high rise hotel zone (squid, colorful fish, octupus, coral, etc) The hotel was very modest, it was clean but very... more

My wife and I have been staying at the Tamarijn for the past 9 years. I am 55 yrs old and my wife is 49. For several years prior to arriving in Aruba, we traveled to other Carribean Islands (Antigua, Jamaica, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, along with Mexico and Bermuda). We found several reasons to return to Aruba year after... more

We stayed at the Tamarijn from the 13th to 27th of May 2009 and found we have practically no complaints about any aspect of the holiday. We were given room number 1113 which was just perfect - close to the bars and restaurants ( but not so close that we were ever disturbed by any noise), we were on a... more

Just returned from a 2 week stay at the Tam....... After studying all the reviews on here for a while we decided to take the plunge and book our first all inclusive Holiday. We were pleasantly suprised to find that this place is a really good choice....The location is stunning on a fantastic stretch of Beach ...Palm Trees swaying in... more

For the price the Tamarijn is great value. Staff, with exception of the check-in desk, were all very pleasant and helpful. Dining options which included the Divi resort were wonderful - try the Red Parrot by the beach amzing food, service, and views. Cruiser bike rental is included so its a quick ride to Oranjestad or a half-day trip to... more

OK For 137 dollars a day(per person) you get to stay directly on an uncrowded beach with all the booze you can drink and some decent food...I don't really understand how someone can complain about something like that..Yes the service was not the best I've had in the Carribbean. But some of the people were very friendly and helpful. What... more

Tamarijn Aruba May 17 - May 24 This was our first stay in Aruba, but we have traveled to many parts of Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Montego Bay, Jamaica. I had high expectations from reading Trip Adviser and good reports from friends and family on the Tam. I was not disappointed because of the oceanfront room, but other areas... more

My wife and I stayed at the Tamarijn for about 4 nights to celebrate our one year anniversary. Our stay did not start out well, we arrived at 2 PM and our room wasn't ready until 4:30 PM. After a long day of traveling that started 12 hours earlier. The beach was amazing. You just walk out on your balcony... more

We stayed for 5 nights in Mid-May. I can safely say that while we will probably return to Aruba, we will never return the Tamarijn. The rooms are basically clean but horribly outdated. We were there for a romantic vacation and got stuck with 2 double beds. The hotel staff could not get us a King bed even though it... more
