I thought this resort was over-rated from what I'd seen about it online. My first impression when we walked in was that I felt a little let down. Smoking was allowed all over the property (at least it was at the time we were there) which gave the indoors a musty smell. That was an immediate turn off for me.... more

We stayed at the Riu Palace June 6-12. This was our first trip to Aruba and we fell in love with the island. We're already planning our trip for next year! Room: We stayed in a jr. suite in building A (same building as lobby). Our room was on the 4th floor and had a great view of the pool... more

well the food was great compared to other all inclusive resorts me and my husband have stayed at..... the ocean and the pool is amazing, the service i would rate 2 stars, housekeeping would always forget to leave towels in our room and/or hair conditioner..... the rooms are very damp, a king size there means 2 full size beds together.... more

after reading a few comments about break-ins i was wondering what i'd booked. Can i just say, whilst i was there the only complaint was coming home. The staff couldn't have been more friendly, helpful or polite. The hotel was brilliant, i'd recommend a junior suite with sea view, was absolutely stunning. and so for the food, beach, drinks, people... more

My husband, my 18 month-old son, and I stayed at the Riu Palace Aruba June 1-8, 2009. I normally do not write reviews after a vacation, however this time I felt compelled to write about this hotel because we got quite a surprise when we walked into our room. We choose this resort since we know that Riu has a... more

Rui cheated us out of one night stay and refused to refund us one night. Our flight was delayed so even though we paid in advance for 5 nights, arrived a day late, our trip shortened by a night Rui refused to give us a night refund. They told our travel agent that they had to hold the room for... more

The resort is beautiful, the grounds are very well kept and clean, the food is excellent, the restaurants for the most part are great, the RIU has the best beach out of all of the other resorts located on that same stretch of Palm Beach. If you are looking for R&R at a nice beach, then the RIU is for... more

What a wonderful resort. The food was delicious and fresh, restaurant reservations were easy to obtain and everything looks brand new. Good air conditioning throughout the building, everything is clean but the beds are literally hard like a rock, think Flinstones. Snorkeling off-resort was a short ride, inexpensive and amazing. Make sure you snorkel when you're in Aruba, the fish... more

First of all, I would like to say before I start my review that I didn't even want to go to the Riu anymore after reading people's reviews on here. I read so many negative ones that I wasn't even looking forward to my vacation. So this review is for all you people who are anxiously awaiting your vacation but... more
