When we initially arrived at the hotel we went to make a reservation for dinner. Because the restaurant we wanted was booked, one of the guest services people hooked us up with the Royal Club. We had top shelf booze and some of the best food I have had in my life. It was very exclusive and classy meal. However... more

This was supposed to be my dream vacation for my birthday with my husband alone for the first time in many years. It turned out to be the worst hotel that we have ever stayed in. The food was horrible in the buffet restaurant which is the only one that you did not need a reservation for, the service was... more

Stayed for 5 days, 4 nights on the "poor" side of the hotel. We didn't have towels, shampoo, conditioner, or soap. At least we brought the last three from home. We asked for towels, were told "10 minutes," and they never came. The next day we borrowed towels from a friend that was also staying on the "rich" side. We... more

I'll start with I travel quite a bit for business, and have stayed at all types of hotels. For a leisure, all inclusive hotel, I thought the Occidental was great! We planned an extended family vacation for 12 of us, and chose the Occidental because of everything we thought it would have - all-inclusive, proximity to beaches, variety of food... more

Though currently a Boston resident I grew up in Florida. Needless to say the friendly Island atmosphere is amuch needed reminder of home to me. There are nice people and then there are those that go above and beyond. Sandra Steba is one of them. all I expected out of this vacation was to come home with an amazing tan... more

We returned last week from the Occidental and was keen to write a review to help Brits who are planning a visit here as many of the reviews are from Americans and may not be a reflection of what Brits expect. We would say that the hotel was somewhere between a 4 and 5 star, the staff on the whole... more

I had the pleasure of staying at the Occidental with my family. I found it to be exceptional. Sandra Steba from guest services made all of our reservations for resteraunts ,spa treatments and excursions. She made everything so easy for us. She is an asset to this hotel. The resteraunts are great as well as all of the staff. I... more

Headed to Aruba to get out of the rainy, cold Boston weather and was delighted to have sunny 90 degree weather EVERYDAY! The hotel was amazing! As soon as we arrived we got some happy island drinks and began taking in the beauty! The pool is a blast with a swim up bar! The beach is breath taking with the... more

RIGHT, now for The Occidental. Before I go further I must explain as to why I am as frustrated as I am and then you will understand my issue.. This holiday has cost me roughly £4000.00 ($6000.00), 20 hours of air time (approx) AND was sold to me by First Choice as a 5 star PLATINUM AWARD WINNING all singing... more
