following our recent experience at the hotel , i was completely horrified at how the owners treat the guest in this hotel , esp on new years eve..! with the prices extremely over priced ( 2500 BBD per head to sit down ) for a little buffet type dinner service . then the after party moves into the main dance... more

Management response from
Eric Mapp, Resident Manager

I write in Management response to the recent review “Complete waste of money…!! Chairman/Owner only worried bout himself” , as the Resident Manager for the last four years, I am in a better position than most to comment about our Festive season activites. I am pleased to report that in spite of the current economic problems facing the world, Sandy...

If you are wondering if this is THE Sandy Lane, YES! It is THE Sandy Lane!! I wanted somewhere Romantic to stay for our one night on Barbados before going on a cruise and my travel agent found me the most Romantic place I have ever stayed at!! It is a bit pricey but I wanted to splurge since we... more

When my wife chose Sandy Lane for a getaway after a hard six months, I was apprehensive - I'd been there years ago before the renovation and been disappointed. But this time everything was different. Travelling with our 3-year old son and a nanny, we took an Orchid Suite (cheaper than two Orchid rooms) and were very pleased. It was... more

This hotel is superb and we have just returned from our 2nd visit. It has everything and not on a rediculously horrible and large scale. 112 bedrooms and all within a convenient location to everything. Wonderful spa, pool, beach location and everything has an attention to detail. We run a hotel and we know what we want when we travel,... more

A week in an Ocean front room - which was spacious and comfortable - Lovely terrace with direct access to the beach, huge plasma TV, great bed and wonderful bathroom. Beach service was great - you reserve your sun bed for the whole week, so no worries about 'grabbing' your spot each day. And the service was spot on. The... more

The sandy lane is a lovely hotel on one of my favorite islands in the carribean. Barbados is a wonderful island with the most friendly people and with some superb beaches. It has the best of everything, a wild east coast, a lapping carribean coast and a white sandy south coast. I have stayed at this hotel four times. The... more

We went to the Sandy Lane because we heard about it from friends. It is definitely overpriced for what it is. The service is excellent most of the time but by far not personal. The food is disappointing at best and the whole place has little character. For the prices we paid I coulld have stayed in other good hotls... more

Hi, We stayed at Sandy Lane for 2 weeks in June, 2008. We absolutely loved the hotel. This was our first trip to Barbados and it is was very impressive. Barbados looks cleaner and is generally a tad more upscale than most of the other Caribbean islands. I can not say enough nice things about the hotel. We booked two... more
