We knew this hotel because of the restaurant, having eaten there a number of times (Sunday Lunch is particularly good) and as we like to stay somewhere different each visit we decided to stay at the hotel. There are just four beachfront suites and they are named after 'old' American cars. Our suite was the 'Lincoln' and we think the... more

The Lonestar is small - 4 rooms - and has its upsides but also downsides. We stayed in Cord for a week. Good big room, big shower room (no bath), great, v large terrace with the best view of the 4 rooms down the beach & possibly the best view of any room terrace on the island.. We think is... more

A big thanks to Debbie and her team at Lonestar who made us feel so welcome. Drinks delivered directly to our deckchairs, amazing views from our balcony. It really felt like this was our exclusive part of the west coast. A wonderful option if you dont fancy the idea of staying at one of those impersonal resorts with 80+ rooms... more

We stayed at the Lone Star over American Thanksgiving weekend. It was a great place to rest, relax and do nothing. The room we had was huge with a beautiful covered terrace overlooking the ocean which was only meters away. This turned out to be the biggest bonus as it rained a lot. Unfortunately as the hotel is so small,... more

Went to the Lone Star Hotel for a few days in August. Ended up getting one of the rooms upstairs (Lincoln Room) which was nicer than the rooms downstairs. I also managed to take a look at the two rooms on the lower floor, of which Buick was the nicer room. First off, all of the rooms have very large... more

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Lone Star in Barbados. We do a lot of traveling and this is the best hotel experience weve had so far. While this hotel may not be for everyone....its not big by any stretch of the imagination (4 rooms) theres no pool, no live entertainment at night, no games rooms... more

Stayed for a few nights in the Lone Star, and we loved it. Every detail was looked after, from the welcome cocktail at the bar to reservations for dinner, candles on the balconey and cold beers in the mini bar. Only 4 rooms so quiet and loads of attention given to you. The attached restaurant was amazing, we had breakfast,... more

We spent a week of our honeymoon here and had a great time. There are only 4 hotel suites (large room, dressing area/walk-in closet, decent bathroom with enormous twin-shower) all on the beach (2-up, 2-down) next door to the mid-sized restaurant. The rooms are spacious and modern with dark wood and white walls with plenty of mirrors and a dash... more

Friendly from the moment we stepped out of the taxi and Debbi at reception greeted us. All the staff had the same helpful attitude. Just 4 rooms, all overlooking the beach. They are named after cars and are spacious with much use of wood. Huge modern walk-in shower and a nice terrace. Residents get first choice of the best table... more
