After reading the reviews was a bit worried. The hotel is tired, and the first room aircon failed. second room fine. Hotel position excellent - just across from Dover beach, and a short stroll to the restuarants etc on the Gap. (cafe sol happy hour margaritas excellent!). stayed at the gap for 11 nights and found it very disappointing. double room I requested turned out to be a twin, the shower pressure was lifeless unless you wanted a scolding, the room air con unit poured out water when it felt like it, the bed and breakfast we paid for was ideal if the only sustenance you wanted... more

Arrived at the hotel and found there were no lifts. Staff, however, took our cases to our rooms. Very dated rooms, particularly the showers and the bed felt slightly damp. Very nice hotel. It's not the Ritz Carlton but it is decent enough to live with for a few days. Very close to Dover Beach. Restaurant downstairs is okay. Price is okay. Located on the St.Lawrence Gap, so that's a plus! I would recommend it to young people & people who like a noisy environment while on holiday......... more
