We went to this hotel twice for a total of four nights on a tour called "Crumbling Colonial Spendor" and that was an apt description of this hotel. Apart from the lobby and pool areas the whole place had a very run down appearance and feeling, and it must have been decades since it saw any new paint. Both the... more

I have been to Habana many times and to the Sevilla 10 times in total. Quality of Cuban hotels is not very good in general. If you look for a recent standardized hotel close to beaches...don't go to the Sevilla. If you want a firendly hotel in the center of Havana, close to all teh monuments, museums, night life, Cuban... more

As we stayed in the Raquel before the Sevilla, I find it hard to give this hotel more that a 3 rating, with one exception. The music in the courtyard was excellent! Different bands throughout the evening, some of a very high standard. Made the day after touring Havana to have a cocktail and listen to some good bands. Otherwise,... more

I stayed at the Sevilla for a week in September. I had a large, clean room with a beautiful view on the 6th floor. Breakfast is OK for Cuba with bread, cheese and they cook eggs while you wait. There is a bar with live music. The hotel is situated in good location for site seeing most attractions are close... more

With the best view in Havana from the top floor restaurant, just a 5 minute stroll to Old Havana, the Malecon & the Capitolio and so much history attached to the place this has to be the best hotel in Havana! OK, the reception staff were a little bit moody but how long do you spend with them anyway? Our... more

This hotel was close to everything and the room we got was huge they put in an extra bed for our youngest and we still had space. Bar staff were excellent but breakfast guys not so but hey it was early. Staff who made up the room did towel sculptures for our 2 girls each day and were really friendly.... more

When I first read the recent reviews on this hotel I just couldn't work out why reviews were so negative. Sometimes a hotel can be sold at a too high of price or miss sold by an on-line booking system. My on-line booking system said it was luxury - me being a travel agent knew differently because of the Mercure... more

I had read reviews about this Hotel, but bearing in mind the Country is so poor, I was ready to except how it was. Check in was very quick and reception staff ok, we were given the key to room 107, dark, gloomy with single beds (we booked a double) but no problem, looked out of the window to see... more

Nice Colonial building and charming reception area hides the fact that guest rooms are desperately in need of renovation. Many rooms dank and dark with no natural light & inadequate electric light. Bedding looked clean, but many in our group suffered bites which were NOT mosquitos. Hotel staff tried to help with room changes and they decided to fumigate rooms.... more

I was actually transferred here from hostal San Miguel that had basically overbooked. Sevilla It is in a good location in Havana central, easy to walk everywhere and a constant stream of good taxis outside. The lobby is pretty though reception are not particularly friendly. The service at the restaurant is painfully slow. Food ok, not great. There are 4... more
