We spent two nights in the Sevilla at the start of our stay in Cuba, and having read some of the reviews on this site we were unsure what to expect. We found the room clean with plenty of storage space and a working fridge and safe, though on one evening the hot water was temperamental. That said, a cool... more

I was a bit nervous about my stay after reading recent reports the last of which was about the mugging in front of the hotel just before I left. However, there was nothing to be nervous about and the hotel was as I expected it would be. The location of the hotel was excellent. It is in central Havana, but... more

Room - clean and well stocked with toiletries considering Cuba has problems with obtaining certain products. Room service - excellent, chambermaids very pleasant and towel sculptures left everyday which were amazing. Buffet breakfast - acceptable, very busy but so what !! everyone else has to holiday !!! Location - could not be any better to see all sights. Staff -... more

Have just come back from spending 4 nights at the Sevilla Spt 18th to 22nd. I was dubious about staying there after reading some of the reviews buf in the end it was fine.It is in a good location and it is a grand ole building and like some of the other reviews have said 'like a faded old film... more

it was our first day in honeymoon. first time in Cuba. the hotel seemed ok but barely empty, in October last year (just seen this amazing site). the room was ok regarding hygiene and nostalgic. the rest of the facilities were really hot though, no A/C. In the morning the guide was late so we have decided to walk around... more

A classical Havana hotel with a nice atmosphere. Perfect location. Great exterior, fantastic panorama from the elegant top floor restaurant (visit this even if you don't stay at the hotel, highly recommended! food was great and service was very friendly although a bit slow), lovely lobby hall (also worth a visit). The cafe in the atrium was our favorite place... more

We spent 5 nights at the Sevilla at the end of April 2008. Staff were charming and helpful and the room was spacious and adequate. However, there were a number of rough edges - the towels were threadbare, the shower was lukewarm, the toilets in the reception area were dreadful, as were the showers and toilets in the pool area.... more

We stayed at the Hotel Sevilla between March 17 and 20, 2008. It was wonderful, from the moment we pressed the elevator button and the doors opened immediately (yes, new lifts - joy!) until the very moment we had to leave that unbelievable marble and tile lobby. The Sevilla is like a glorious classic film diva, not as young as... more

My wife and I toured around the west and centre of Cuba in March/April as part of a self-drive holiday with accommodation on a B&B basis and car hire booked in advance through Voyager Cuba (UK) ([-]) and Captivating Cuba (Cuba) ([-]). Both are highly recommended. Our flight was with Cubana Airlines from London Gatwick (a low budget airline with... more

The hotel lobby is pleasant and full of character. The small courtyard bar has good service and a local band playing at most times. However the room we stayed in was a different story. It may have been that we were only there for 3 nights of a 14 night package, but it was well past it's best. The maintenance... more
