We booked our trip to Havana before we left England and not only did we save money we actually got a far better and more personal guide. We read about this hotel on trip advisor and were not disapointed, perfect location for old Havana, great atmosphere, service and superb flamenco in the afternoon and evening. The staff although limited English were very helpfull and cheerfull,... more

For anyone looking for a good, reasonably priced hotel in the middle of old Havana you need look no further than the Meson de la Flota. It's basically five large rooms above a restaurant which features flameco bands/dancers more or less every night. (Don't worry that you 'll be kept awake by the noise from below - they finish by... more

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights to see in new year and the 50th anniversary of the Revolution. We expected noise, but to be honest, the flamenco finished by 11pm each night and people talking in the street were louder than the bar beneath (which you would get anywhere). Breakfast was good, they just made whatever you asked... more

Although I have essentially nothing new to add to previous reviews, I just want to reiterate a few points. On the positive side: 1. It is very centrally located 2. It is good value for money (£95 for 2 of us for 2 nights bed, breakfast and dinner) 3. It has lots of character, not least the incredibly high doors... more

Great hotel on a main pedestrian street (no cars!) midway between Plaza Vieja and Plaza de Armas, very near to Ambros Mundos Hotel (Hemmingway's place). Downstairs restaurant with nightly flamenco entertainment, so you can experience some culture or activity without going far from home at night (great for a solo woman traveler like myself). Breakfast included. Room had exceptionally high... more

We really liked this little hostel, definitely more of a guest house above a restaurant... the room was clean, the bed comfortable and location fantastic! the foot isn't bad either!! :) the staff was a bit of a mix - there definitely seems to be two teams that rotate.. for our first two days what we affectionately called team A... more

This little hotel is fantastic. Rooms are upstairs from a restaurant (shared entry). This restaurant serves guests breakfast. Location is ideal, right in Habana Vieja, steps from the main square in one direction, Plaza San Francisco in another, and Ambos Mundos in another. Really ideal. Nighttime Flamenco entertainment at the restaurant is great if you are too exhausted to venture... more

This is a restaurant with rooms available upstairs. Definitely not a hotel. Surly, unhelpful staff (lots of them but no one seems to do anything). They seemed put out that there were rooms there, that they had to check us in and serve us breakfast. The rooms are large and clean and the location was very central. Overall, ok but... more

A gorgeous small hotel with only 5 rooms above a Flamingo Bar. The location is brilliant in the middle of Old Havana and the staff are friendly. Great food with an excellent atmosphere with live Flamingo dancers most nights. Would definately recommend. more

We spent 3 nights in Havana this November. We chose this hotel because it's in the center - all the main attractions are in walking distance. (Capitol 10 mins., Cathedral 5 mins., etc) This hotel has only 5 guestrooms and I think owners also have their rooms here. Downstairs it is a restaurant (seafood is quite good and always fresh)where... more
