Convenient localion near most of the tourist places of interest. Old historucal building, beautifully restored. Friendly personel, good service and relatively good price. Rooms can lack windows and be very dark, and breakfast is not stellar.

Beautiful, musty, slightly dark old colonial hotel, fabulous sweeping staircase. We adored it. So much character and such large rooms. We were room 102 and overlooked the narrow street to the family living opposite ( we had no problem with that and they didn't either! plenty of privacy) and had a view into the dining area below. It added to... More

It looks nice, people are nice, the bedroom was very big, way too much for me. A smell of humidity, and noisy!! Glad I had ear plugs!! Better to stay in a particular house and even more for the price you pay in that "palace". I would pass my way

Positives: - large, well-equipped rooms with nice staff. We got the windowless room but it was OK because it was so big. We did however change to a room on the second floor (third if you count ground as first) - very good breakfast menu - restaurant decent, but they seem only to have a menu - you pay for... More

We weren't sure what to expect when we pulled up to this hotel! It is down some narrow streets, and in Havana it is difficult to tell which of the grand buildings are still grand inside, and which are completely run down. But as soon as we were inside, we thought "wow!" It is a very grand building, with each... More

For the price of a 4 star hotel you get a no star experience. During our one week stay there was no hot water, and the staff came up with tall tales about the system being fixed. There were constant problems with the charging for the items from the mini bar that we didn't use, and for the phone calls... More

We stayed here for 3 nights when we first arrived in Havana for 2 week holiday in Cuba. We heard about the rooms with no window and as we arrived late, we did have a room without a window. To be honest - it wasn't as bad as we thought it might be and the lady at the reception desk... More

Stayed here for four nights during a two week visit to Cuba. Beautiful old colonial building with internal courtyard with glass roof. Every room is different and yes some do not have a window. Only ate breakfast at te hotel which was good. Fruit, fruit juice, coffee and a choice of cooked eggs served with cold meats. Hotel bar very... More

Hotel was as expected, 18th century colonial residence in the middle of Old Havana, I loved it but my wife hated it. It did not help that there was not a window in our room, food was very average even for Cuba and no hot water for 3 days. I would go back but that wont happen.

This hotel is charming and a little different from others in Havana old town - it used to be the home the O'Farrills, a merchant family that emigrated to Cuba in the 18th century. The first thing that strikes you when you walk in is the internal courtyard - it feels like it's outside because the glass roof of the... More
