The hotel is beautiful and in a good location. However, we were given a room that looked onto the patio, which was very noisy throughout the night. The staff shouted to one another at 3am which would wake us up. When we complained to the reception (who didn't really understand English), they didn't seem to care. This was a disappointing... more

I stayed here for 5 days at the beginning of October 2008. Right from the moment the taxi pulled up in front of the hotel I was impressed. The front doors were shut due to the late hour, but the bellboy opened the door and collected my luggage as soon as the taxi driver knocked on the door. I was... more

On arrival we were upgraded to one of their suite rooms for the first night - extremely spacious but all the dark wood and lack of windows made it feel dark and gloomy. We were a lot happier in the cosier ordinary room we went to after that. It is an OK place to stay, but having stayed in 2... more

Stayed here at the start and end of two week holiday. Rooms on second floor are huge! Good breakfast by Cuban standards. Staff friendly and helpful. Great location for all the sights of the Old Town. Only let down was dinner in the restaurant. Expensive and very very ordinary. Definately a case of eat out! more

As this wasn't our 1st 2nd 3rd or even choice of hotel in Havana (it was the only one available due to our late booking) we were not expecting much. It didn't exceed our expectations and probably just met them. The room we had was on the 2nd floor (back of the hotel unfortunately) with a window high up which... more

This is an old building in Old Havana. We stayed on the 3rd floor. Room was large and clean. There were some issues re a tap that wouldnt turn off. We could hear the next room resident in their bathroom but overall it was a quiet hotel, The lobby is nice and there are some seated areas in the hall... more

Very nice looking hotel. The room was huge and comfortable. It's in a nice part of town but seems to lack a bit of character. Also very expensive and compared to some of the other hotels in this class it didn't seem up to the same standard. more

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel after having stayed in 2 other hotels, 1 in Havana and another in Varadero. We booked this hotel since it looked good on the website and it's part of the Habaguanex chain, of which the first hotel we stayed in Havana was part as well. The place is ok, reasonable state of maintenance.... more

I just got back and had a pleasant stay. You can choose this hotel with confidence -- definitely not super deluxe, but stately, basic, clean and safe (including lock boxes in the rooms). And the location cannot be beat. I went to other properties in this hotel chain during my stay, and the O'Farrill was on par with the others.... more

We booked this hotel for 3 nights unfortunately and prepaid otherwise we would have moved after the first night. Although the courtyard looked stately and the location was close to the sights of Old Havana, the hotel itself left a lot to be desired. For three days we had no hot water. Every day we were told that it would... more
