It was my 40th Birthday on Dec 25th and the 50th anniversary of the Revolution on Jan 1, so I was looking forward to this trip. Stayed at Catro Palmas and loved it. My priority was the beach and it is truly beautiful!!! The room we stayed in was in the annex across the street, at first we panicked but HONESTLY the annex is even better than main builkding!!! Less noise, you can sleep. Secondly your own personal bar. You can get your drinks and walk... more

We always admired the colonial architecture of Cuatro Palmas during our previous visits to Varadero and had not really noticed it been advertised. When we say the... more

This being my 5th visit to Varadero, I have found a new place to return to. The animation team and dance troup were wonderful, food was good (by Cuban standards), location excellent. The only thing they need to work on is their reception staff, very few working behinf the counter are actually pleasant or helpful. Tipping is a must for... more

Unfortunately, we had booked a bungalow, since at the travel agents` we were not told that this option meant crossing... more
