I just got back from Villa La Mar. I have been there in February, May and September (just got back a day ago). If you choose to stay at this hotel, request through your travel agent that you want to stay at the El Delfin. It is a detached building in front of the hotel which is much much nicer... more

I would not recommend this place for anyone to stay at, I would have to say that it's really only a 1/2 star at best, food is recycled and staff is not all that pleasant at the best of times, rooms are not clean, did not feel safe at all here. more

Don't go to this TERRIBLE hotel!!! Rooms are dirty, furniture is damage, no tv remote control at rooms, windows are broken, no safety at rooms, no phone... You can't call a cab from desk because they don't have a phone!!!!!! Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not go to this hotel unless you want to rough it. The lobby furniture is worn and so dirty the fabric is stiff. Room furniture is in disrepair; chair seats rotted through. No toilet seats anywhere including our room. No linen changes for the entire week. No toilet tissue last day. And our "ocean view" consisted of a garbage... more
