I am writing this in transit after leaving Curacao. This resort is a real mixed bag. First, the dive shop was very good, with excellent support for our family. Dave and Lynn and the rest of the dive crew went out of their way to be helpful. We have traveled a lot around the world for diving, and they were... more

Nice average property but far away from town. It is a 50.00 taxi ride each way to get to restaurants or shopping, casinos, etc. Our rooms were clean, ceiling fan and well functioning AC. Beds were hard. Our room overlooked the nude beach, glad we were all adults! Food was buffet for every meal (all inclusive), though the brochure said... more

Overall: Don’t even think about booking a trip at this resort which offers terrible food, shoddy accommodations, mediocre service and only average diving. Absolutely the most disappointing vacation we have ever taken! Rooms & Facilities Best description for this place is ‘deferred maintenance’ everywhere. The ceiling tiles in our bathroom were stained and rusty, only 2 of 5 light bulbs... more

We celebrated my husband's birthday at Sunset Waters Resort for ten days between November 5th & November 15th 2008 with another couple. Upon arriving at the resort at 9:30 pm (ridiculous) we were told that they were holding dinner for us. The staff at the open air restaurant were very polite, helpful and courteous. The food choices were extremely limited... more

My wife and I just returned from a ten day stay at Sunset Waters. Though not clear from the advertising, the main event at Sunset Waters is diving. Most of the guests during our stay were divers. The divers seemed to have full days, abundant social interaction and seemed to have a great time. My comments are aimed at non-divers... more

My wife and 14 year-old daughter and I spent a week at Sunset Waters in late April - early May of 2008. This was our first trip to a scuba diving - centric resort. It was quieter than the other more "mainstream" Caribbean resorts we've been to, which was fine for my wife and I, but took some getting used... more

We had a wonderful time at Sunset Waters Beach Resort! We went for a week at the beginning of August. We were looking for a laid-back place with no hurricanes, a mid-80's temperature and nice beach. And Sunset Waters fit the bill perfectly. It was described to us as a somewhat remote Gilligan's Island type all-inclusive and that is an... more

This place was bad. We stayed at the Grand Lido and San soucci in Jamaica and they were lovely. This place was dirty. I took pictures of the toilet seat and sent it to my agent because it was so bad. Where there should have been bulbs in the light the sockets were empty holes. we payed extra to leave... more

We have spend wonderful vacations with friends and family at the Sunset Waters Resort for the last 4 years. The manager Jim Hunter and his crew made us feel at home which made a big difference from all the other hotels on the island. I have just learned that Jim is no longer the manager and we have decided to... more

This resort definitely gives you value for your money. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and gave us lovely views (well, despite the nude beach being right outside our window....) The diving is excellent at Sunset waters. The buffet meals and entertainment at dinner were exceptional. I really appreciated the hospitality of the manager, Jim. He even remembers your name.... more
