My wife, sister-in-law and I spend 8 days at Gallette cottage (owned and operated by nature Island Dive) in June 2009. We did 8 dives with Tony, Selwin and Carey. They made our diving by far the eaisiest we have ever experienced. Every morning our gear was waiting, fully set up and on the boat for us. After the dive... more
My wife and I arrived in Dominica aboard the Carnival Victory. After doing some research on Trip Advisor and Cruise Critic, we chose Nature Island Dive as our preferred Dive Shop. I contacted Karen by email, and made arrangements for a two tank dive. This was our first salt water dive since being certified, so we were both excited, and... more
This was our third trip to Dominica - and a lovely way to escape European winters. Nature Island Dive has always been a highlight of the trip and this year it was better than ever. We seem to add a week on to the holiday each year; this year it was for 5 weeks - how long next year??? Karen... more
To put it simply, Nature Island Dive is the best dive shop my wife and I have ever experienced. Their location in Soufriere means you're just a few minutes away from some truly stunning dive sites. The equipment was in good order, the dive masters were wonderful, and we even spent one whole afternoon just hanging out at the dive... more
We enjoyed the people and the diving. Some advantages of diving from Soufriere are that you support a locally owned operation, the shop is so close to the dive sites that you take your dive interval back at the shop (instead of traveling down by boat from Roseau and sitting out the hour on the boat), and you get to... more
We arrived in Soufriere after a long overland drive from the airport and a protracted series of flights from Grenada where we had been diving previously. Unfortunately, minus one bag with most of our dive gear. The dive centre provided us with replacements and did not charge for this. They even lent us full wet suits when we told them... more
We had a day of SCUBA diving with Nature Island Dive. They are located in Soufriere, which was approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes from Jungle Bay Resort (where we stayed). The plan was to dive the first (deep) dive with my husband, then come back to shore to pick up our kids for the shallow dive, and my father-in-law... more
My wife and I just returned from a week of scuba diving and hiking in Dominica and have nothing but positive things to say about our trip. Nature Island Dive (Soufriere, Dominica) has a clean and well organized shop in the small fishing village of Soufriere. Their boats are capable of handling 10 divers but the most we ever had... more
Amazing dive shop! Located right on the Soufriere Scott's Head Marine Reserve, all the dive sites are 5 to 10 minutes away in the boat, whereas all the other shops in the area have a 1/2 hour or more to get to the park. The park is a submerged volcanic crater with the most amazing reefs, and lots of colorful... more
