The diving was nice with lots of unusual critters - but did not make up for the Castle Comfort Lodge's shortcomings! The Dominicans were sometimes friendly, sometimes downright surly in their attitudes. There is a 15% VAT on EVERYTHING you buy. Also a 10% service charge at all restaurants. Uncomfortable, very small rooms with shabby furnishings and a spring popping through the mattress, a tiny property with an even smaller pool that has seen better days, expensive drinks, and food that you would rather do without (breakfast starts out as "fine" and then the cuisine deteriorates throughout the day) -- these a divine vacation do not make....even a so-so... more
