We stayed 6 days at the Fort Young Hotel. Our room was on the 1st floor, an ocean view deluxe suite. When the cruise ship docked right in front, we still had views of the ocean. The Fort Young Hotel is the only 4/5 star hotel on the beautiful island of Dominica but unlike other hotels who don't have any competition they do make an effort ! The view from the Deluxe Oceanfront room was wonderful. Dominica is an island filled with spectacular, picturesque, natural scenery. It has numerous hiking trails and waterfalls. You must relax in one of the many natural warm water springs. If you are looking to get away from the overally saturated tourist traps of other islands, Dominica is the place to go.... more
