I used to stay at this hotel every weekend when I lived in the Dominican Republic. It is a small, friendly and very basic hotel. It is kept clean and if you want an inexpensive way to stay in the Old Colonial area then this would suit you. Some rooms have a/c which in the hotter months is a must. If you have one of the rooms over looking El Conde you can relax on the balcony and watch the world go past. Be warned though it can be rather noisy in rooms 1, 2 and 3. Room 3 has a King size bed and a/c and one of the few showers which does work well and you can get hot water from! .... Most of the other rooms have no outside views but most do have a/c. The showers do function but can be hit and miss. Don't expect luxury but at prices starting about US$40 per night its cheap and cheerful. more
