This Hotel is old and has not been renovated very well. The rooms are dark, humid and smelly. The decoration is ugly and the linens look as of those of a cheap Motel. When we first walked in the hotel, I was impressed. The lobby looks great and it makes you think of how your room will look like. Once we got to the rooms, that was another story. The first room i got reeked of cigarettes so we changed. The rooms are old, bathrooms have obviously been renovated but very poorly done.... more

El Embajador is an older but well kept hotel. Service was good, stayed on upper levels, food and restaurant service was good. Internet access, clean. more
It is an older hotel, but well kept. Room was plenty big. I think more attention is given to executive floors, but it was still good. Staff, service and food was great. I really liked the location and it was quiet and tucked away from the busy streets. Would definitely stay again. more
Wow, for me the best business hotel in the Dr is this one. Normally my company sends me to the Jaragua, which I hate. but because of an overbooking, they sent me to the Occidental El Embajador. I just have to tell you one thing, I am telling my company to send me to Embajador from now on. Best Service more

The Hotel is perfect for business travelers, i spend 3 nitghs at the executive level and it a nice experience, the room was very good. The area is quiet, but don´t stay in rooms near the birds, more
I spent two nights in El Embajador in Santo Domingo...I felt the hotel was old (53 years) but the service and the restaurants make my trip worth while...it's very elegant and has and old-school charm to it, also the casino is very nice and the people move seamesly in the background creating a great overall experience. more
