This is a great resort. The people at the front desk were friendly and informative when we checked in and our baggage was delivered to our rooms almost before we were able to finish check in and arrive at our room. The staff was wonderful, helpful and even though we didn't know Spanish and some staff had limited English, we... more

We stayed at the hotel for 14 nights during May and enjoyed it very much. There are a number of great pluses - excellent quiet and well appointed rooms, cleanliness next to none in both bedrooms and grounds, good a-la-carte restaurants in our opinion (although as resort was so quiet there was only 1 open each night), great pool and... more

Got back from our trip to Gran Bahia Principe La Romana last week. Overall, a great experience but would not go back to this area of Dominican Republic again. Would try Punta Cana or Puerta Plata next time. Flew into Santo Domingo. 45 minute ride to resort was so much better than expected. Streets were paved and beautiful countryside and... more

This was a very nice place to visit. It was very relaxing, we drank all we wanted and ate a lot! If you have kids, there is a MiniClub for them from 10-1pm and again 3-5pm. My kids loved it. They was hesitant at first because all they wanted to do was play in the pool, but one afternoon with... more

I spent a weekend at this hotel and I must say that it was worth every penny. The location of the hotel is super! It is about 30 minutes drive from the La Romana airport, 15 minutes from a nearby town San Pedro de Macoris and an hour or so outside of the country's capital Santo Domingo and it's Las... more

This has to be the cleanest hotel I have stayed in ever. If it stood still or moved it was cleaned day and night. The staff were always happy and pleased to served you and you could not ask for the wrong thing. The food in the buffet restaurant was always good, on the other hand the food in the... more

Arrived in Punta Cana and had a 2hr plus bus ride. Once we got to the resort we were checked in very swiftly and luggage was brought to our rooms. The resort is absolutely beautiful, and breath taking. Grounds are very well maintained and the grounds people are constantly pruning, trimming and cleaning the gardens. On arrival to our junior... more
