Combine Italian passion, with Balinese decor, all set on the Caribbean island of Grenada, where the locals have the biggest smile = Laluna. Set in a secluded bay, with only 16 cottages scattered on the hillside. Each with their own private veranda and plunge pool. Laluna oozes romance in an intimate setting with a Bohemian laid back vibe. Italian restaurant with Calabrian roots. Sunset Bar & Lounge on the beach with Daily happy hour and signature cocktails. Wellness Center with an Asian Spa with Balinese therapists and complimentary yoga at our yoga pavilion on the beach and Technogym gym. Sculpture garden in The Enchanted Forest = Art + Hospitality. Laluna is either your cup of coffee or it isn't, especially if you take your coffee with a shot of rum.

Laluna Boutique Hotel & Villas: Laluna is definitely one of my favorite resorts in the world. I’ve traveled globally to 160+ countries, slept and dined from riverbanks to treetops. Laluna is your premium destination for a boutique eco-resort. Let me step back; I lived in Bali for several years. It’s the place that my spirit separated from my body and just felt humans as energy. Laluna ignited this very feeling as soon as I drove into the resort. If you’re looking for that healing experience, restorative experience, decor, or just a great away wanderlust stay; Laluna is your best option in Grenada. Next is the Staff! They literally surrender to the guests and make you feel at home. I should highlight one of the Managers at this resort by name. Tracey is a gem and a true leader. With her beautiful charming demeanor; I watched her take charge and lead the staff like a true military general. No matter what you need, if it could be done; you’ll get it and if not the entire team will bend backwards for the guest. I honestly miss this place. I also believe that part of this premium service and attention to details stems from its family owned and oriented nature and being a chain resort. Balinese Spa: Oops! I almost left out my most gratifying moment. How about visiting the Spa and meeting actual Balinese girls offering the Spa services? I speak little Balinese and Bahasa so it was like a reunion. Bali allover again in Grenada! That’s Laluna for you! Suksma! My Honest Recommendation: I highly recommend this Boutique Eco-resort and Villas to all travelers but especially those seeking sustainable Eco friendly experiences. Very safe for all travelers including couples, solo trailers or corporate hybrid traveler. It’s private and safe .

Hard to find anything bad to say about this place went with girlfriend for 7 nights. Went to restaurants Olivers and Rhodes, but LaLuna was still the best food we ate. Chef is incredible and food is made with love. The bartenders are all awesome people to talk with as are any staff members. Beach is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. Fishing was lovely pulled in a Mahi and Yellowfin tuna that chef prepared for us the same day. The rooms are clean, AC worked great, lovely view of the ocean from the shower and plunge pool. Wifi was great. The resort is clean and well kept. The staff is top notch. Massage was lovely and peaceful. Even the resort owner / developer was there making sure everything was in check. Amazing experience here and will be back. Not to mention it is very fairly priced in all aspects.

We stayed at Laluna for a week and had a very nice time. It is a laid-back place in a beautiful setting and if you want to relax and enjoy the beach, sunset and views, it is wonderful. We had breakfast there every morning, and the food was good. Dinners were good too for the most part. (in general, we found the food on the island was always adequate but never really outstanding--but Laluna was up there with the best) There is a bar and a nice covered seating area. Housekeeping was outstanding-- clean rooms, fresh towels, and made beds daily--and a turn-down service at night. The plunge pool is the best thing to relax in the evening and watch the stars. The staff was friendly. Tracy at the front desk is outstanding! If you come here, you should know you will need a taxi to get into town--Grand Anse or St. George and all the island restaurants and excursions. That can be a bit of an expense, but worth it if you need to do something other than hang out and relax at the resort. The front desk can help you hire a taxi and let you know the appropriate rates. We had a driver take advantage of us and insist we pay $24 dollars US/64.86 EC one way to get to the IGA supermarket (can buy everything there, including alcohol). This should have been 40 EC/16 dollars US at most. We refused to drive home with him and took another taxi who was sitting there waiting for a fare after he agreed to our price. We were lucky to come across a reliable driver to use regularly, who charged us 40 EC /16 US to get to Grand Anse--and 50 EC to get to the airport and that area (also the Aquarium restaurant). It will help if you have these amounts in mind and you tell the driver this is what you are paying. Also, know that some cabins are closer to the beach and require not much walking (beach cottage deluxe) some are freestanding but higher up on the hill (Deluxe cottage) and some (Cottage suite) are way up on the hill and share a wall with another cabin. We were in one of these cabins and got a lot of exercise going up and down those stairs. The walls are pretty thin--we had no problem for most of our stay with neighbors being courteous and not talking too loudly or late in the night or early in the morning--but there was a night when we did not sleep well due to the inconsiderate neighbor. One suggestion to the hotel is to find a way to block noise from the adjoining room. This is not an inexpensive hotel, and it seems reasonable to expect a quieter experience. A bonus at the resort is the daily yoga. I took a wonderful class with Leslie (Vinyassa)--just the right mix of poses and stretches, not too rigorous. Stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, sail boats and snorkel equipment are there for use. Beach towels are provided. As with all places, the chair situation (unfortunately) can become competitive, with people putting down towels to claim their chairs (with umbrellas and shade) early. Luckily, the place is small and if there are no day-trippers, shade chairs are usually available. The staff will bring more chairs out for you, too. I like to exercise and found it safe to walk from the upper cabin road out the exit toward town and do an out-and-back with nice views. But be wary of cars and taxis.

We recently used the restaurant at Laluna. That's incorrect. We frequently use the restaurant at Laluna. it is one of our top 3 favorite restaurants in Grenada. The place has a bohemian island vibe, the service is always great, and the food is varied and delicious. Be sure to go and prepare for a great evening and a fine meal, but be sure to make a reservation first. They are always busy and for good reason, the setting is beautiful, the food is delicious and the prices are more than fair.

We had a wonderful week stay at Laluna. The overall vibe of the hotel is relaxed and low key, which is what we were seeking. The staff, across the board, are super friendly and helpful. The front desk coordinated trips for us during our stay, including a tour to hike in Grenada’s stunning mountainous rain forest and water falls, with a monkey encounter which was awesome. The hotel's 16 cottages are nested in a lush tropical hillside, above one of the loveliest beaches in the Caribbean. The cottages are all the same setup and very nice. Super comfortable bed, effective air conditioning, stylish room and furnishings, shelves with several dozen books to take and read, a great bathroom and shower area, fun plunge pool, and a patio with magical views of the gardens and beach below. Our room was kept super clean and always nicely stocked. The only downside is that some cottages are configured as two connected units that could use better sound insolation between them. Some of the cottages are higher up on the hillside and require a couple minute climb up stairs to reach; make sure to get a unit closer to the beach if you are not up for that. The beach is right off the hotel main buildings. There are ample hotel lounging chairs, hammocks, and shade if you want it. The beach had a bit more waves than the popular BBC beach, which is just around a rocky outcropping from the hotel beach, but it was also quieter. At times we were the only ones on the stretch of beach in front of the hotel. And the swimming and snorkeling were great, with crystal clear water and lots of tropical fish. The hotel also provides Hobie catamarans, kayaks and paddle boards. One day we kayaked over to BBC beach which was great fun. The hotel restaurant is quite good. On the pricier side, but the food was as tasty as we’d had in the Caribbean. The cuisine is an interesting mix of Italian and Caribbean. The wine and mixed drinks were likewise quite good. And like the rest of the resort it was never crowded, so no need to worry about making reservations. The hotel has a world-class Asian Spa, where we had incredibly relaxing Balinese massages. They also have morning yoga class in an open-air pavilion right off the beach. There was also a gym at the resort, which, while small, had nice equipment. On the hotel grounds is an enchanted tropical forest several acres in size, sprinkled with creative outdoor art sculptures by local Grenadian artists. Also, a small studio building with more local art, and where apparently sometimes there is the opportunity to meet the artists and learn more about their work. A unique aspect of Laluna we were not expecting. Laluna is a superb boutique hotel on a wonderful island!

My husband and I came to Laluna to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary. We sought a peaceful, tranquil environment with spa services and we’re pleased to have achieved all of these at Laluna. The most important reason for this review is unfortunately I had an accident and tore my hamstring while I was in Grenada. The hotel went above and beyond to help me and my husband they sent someone to assist us, moved our room to an oceanfront room, because I could not navigate stairs and even set up a special romantic dinner at our room on our anniversary the night after the accident. The service and graciousness that was bestowed upon us was above and beyond. The hotel has lovely staff and well run place with an owner present to help guests. Highly recommended for its beautiful and peaceful environment and caring staff.

First up, we loved this place and look forward to returning. The two factors as to whether it is for you are 1: price (it's expensive!) and 2: location... Grenada is a small island, and though only a mile from St George, Laluna feels much more remote - there is pretty much nothing here: a beach, a bar, a restaurant, and your bungalow - it's a completely chill-out relaxation place. That worked well for us, but it's not for everyone. Service was wonderful, the accommodation lovely, boho chic - Italian sensibility and Balinese decor in the Caribbean, if that makes sense? We loved our time here.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We are definitely a place to chill out and relax, and spend quality time with yourself, or with your partner. Those looking for partying, and an endless list of in-house hotel activities, then we are not the place for you. The island of Grenada it self is a preservation of what the Caribbean islands used to be 30 years ago, and we love it for that. Not overdeveloped and over touristic. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. ciao

Had a great and relaxing stay at Laluna on a solo trip. The staff were very nice and always willing to help. The views from the casita were stunning. Each casita came with a private plunge pool. On top of daily yoga, they had kayaks and SUP to use at your leisure. The beach is long and private. It's also quite small (I think only 16 rooms?) which meant it was intimate and quiet.

We got married at La Luna last night, and it was honestly something out of a dream. I totally understand why they say La Luna is either for you or it isn’t - if you’re looking for a Sandals experience, please go to a Sandals and leave La Luna for those of us who get it and love it for what it is - a secluded get away in an island paradise. Everyone is astonishingly friendly - special shout out to Tracy, Mondel and the lovely gentleman from security whose name I haven’t caught. The cottages are gorgeous, the views and beach impeccable. This place is like a literal dream, and if you don’t like it here, I think you’re probably clinically insane. Oh, and the wedding cake they made for us was incredible. We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary. It’s heaven.

This is not your normal resort but we loved it! We went for our honeymoon, it was perfect! La luna is a very unique resort, fairly small so you feel like you have the place to yourselves! We had a cottage at the top, farthest away from the ocean and the views were amazing. Only downfall is the stairs to get to the the bar/restaurant/ocean ... but it was good leg workout each day! LOL FYI, the only A/C in the cottage is where the bed is. The bathroom is private but outdoors, it took a little while to get use to this as it was very hot! The stay comes with daily waters during turn down which was a nice touch. The ocean water is as pictured and as beautiful. The sunsets are AMAZING each night. There is only 1 restaurant on site but it is delicious food, good variety. Breakfast omelets were a personal favorite. Restaurant is open concept; outdoors, no a/c. For honeymoon go-ers, I would skip the candle lit dinner, it is the same menu only difference is you are at a table 2 feet away with some candles and fake flowers. Nothing special in our opinion. Massages were great! All staff was very friendly. Highly recommend !
