Just needed somewhere to sleep after a day househunting. Eve and Melvyn were more than accommodating. We stayed in the log cabin which is bed and breakfast only. Very relaxing with the sound of the stream running past the cabin. Breakfast was a treat, with the sun streaming down we ate on the verandah area. Eve and Melvyn couldn’t have... More

We stayed in the log cabin for the weekend and everything was just perfect. Our hosts were warm and friendly and made us most welcome. The cabin was splendid and very comfortable. The log was set amongst trees and it made for a very peaceful and romantic get away. The food is superb and the cooked breakfast is highly recommended!... More

This was the best guest house I have stayed in. The facilities were more than what I expected and Eve & Melvin went out of their way to accommodate me. There was an extensive range of freshly prepared meals on the menu. The facilities in the guest house were brilliant; there was even a living room & conservatory downstairs to... More

We can only echo what other reviewers have said about Rhyd-y-Groes. Eve and Melvyn run an excellent B&B in a lovely part of Wales. The immediate area is very quiet and there are lots of walks around glorious country side to enjoy. We stayed in the log cabin and enjoyed the “remoteness” you feel when being there. The main house... More

We went to Rhyd-y-Groes on the strength of the excellent ratings on Trip Advisor, and were not disappointed. The house was very clean and nothing was too much trouble for Eve and Melvyn. We dined in their roadside restaurant and counted on one hand the vehicles that went past in over 2 hours.

My husband, myself and our two teenage children stayed for five nights at the end of July. Arriving at the beautiful house was fantastic after 3 nights of very soggy camping! We stayed in the log cabin and the children shared a room in the main house. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. We were really pleased we had... More

We stayed at Rhyd-y-groes for 5 nights in August, with our 3 children aged 13 and 2. Our friends also joined us with their children and stayed in the log cabin. All the rooms were spotlessley clean and comfortable. The grounds and views were amazing. The veggie food was lovely, even for the meat eaters. The restaurant is amazing, and... More

We have visited Rhyd-y-Groes several times over the last few years and each time have found exactly the right amount of ambience to come away after only a couple of days to feel totally recharged - something not always possible after 2 weeks away on other breaks! We have experienced staying in the main house in the immaculate bedrooms, but... More
