The Mont Joli was hands down the best hotel in Cap-Haitien. The location is unbeatable, with fabulous views of Cap-Haitien, providing opportunities to watch breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, especially the bartender, Tony. The rum punches are unbeatable and the restaurant serves quality food at reasonable prices. The pool is clean and deep and... more

On a recent trip from the Dominican Republic to Haiti, we were welcomed to the Mont Joli with superb service and amazing views. The deep swimming pool and unparalleled views of the harbor, combined with the great staff, good food, and charming decor all added up to an amazing stay in Cap Haitien. The location is also excellent--a 3 minute... more

The exterior view was fine and the pool attractive but the rooms didn't worth the price. We even saw a couple of roaches in the room. It needs improvement. We like it and we hope they will not let it die. We are from Cap Haitian and live in the US and would like to come back one day and... more

My family and I stayed at Mont Joli for only 1 night and we were glad we did. The rooms were in need of serious renovation especially the bathrooms. We had trouble with a toilet that they supposedly fixed. The rooms appeared filthy with poor lighting and looked very depressing. The nicest part of the property was the view from... more

I come to Haiti once a year and always stay at the Mont Joli. I must say, it is quite a treat. The staff is attentive, food wonderful, and Nicholas is charming as is Tyson and the rest of the staff. I will be there again in a few days and look forward to seeing my old "friends". Teresa S.... more

The external environment and the size of the room make Montjoli a hotel but the bed, the covers, the bathroom, the closet, the TV with less than 5 US channels make it more like a motel. There is no soap, shampoo etc and you would not want to use this 2 little towels in the bathroom to dry yourshelf after... more

As a frequent visitor to O'Cap, I loved nothing more than to relax along the pool at the Joli, rum punch in hand. The staff is courteous and outgoing. Nicholas, the owner was always on hand buying rounds of drinks and encouraging guests to come with him to the local hang out, Lakay (which sadly burned down since I was... more

I have stayed at the Mont Joli many times with my family including over this New Years holiday. Service is always superb. The view from the rooms and bar is encroyable. Staying at the Mont Joli gives the traveler and idea of how Haiti was in its past golden age of tourism. more

I have stayed at the Mont Joli for years. It is clean and comfortable(24 hour electricity) The food is excellent and the water is pure. I never get sick when I stay at the Mont Joli. After a day outside the city, it is a haven to return to. I plan to stay there next year when I return. I... more

I have stayed several times at Mont-Joli and I have stayed at various other hotels not only in Cap-Haitien, but Jacmel and Port-au-Prince. Bar none... except perhaps Hotel Montana in Port-au-Prince, Mont-Joli is the best hotel in Haiti, comparable to any other great locally owned hotels in the caribbean. more
