If you want samples of Jamaican countryside then this place is a must. Just don't try it in a Toyota Yaris. The Guest House was delightful as was the manager and her cooking. We should have stayed two nights and spent a day hiking but we still saw some great scenery.

It is indeed a tough experience to drive to Mavisbank. Bad roads, no road indication, crazy wild drivers.
