I celebrated my 40th birthday 9/16-9/23 at the Riu Montego Bay and had the best time. From start to finish everything was great. Check in was quick and easy they even give you a drink while you get signed in, the room was clean with a mini bar and stock mini refrig. The food was decent no complaints, we didn't... more

Hello, To all of you who have stayed here, as well as, those of you that plan on booking, PLEASE read the email below my signature that, I sent to the RIU corporate headquarters. Don't let previous bad experiences, and future potentially bad experiences with a vendor go unchallenged. ... Demand satisfaction! ... Don't, in my opinion, do what so... more

We just returned from Jamaica. This resort is really beautifull and so are all the people which work in the hotel. The food is excellent and a lot of variety. We would like to thank Mr. Frank, Mr.Carlos, Ms.Katharina, Mr.Fitzroy from Rose Hall restaurant and the main cook from the Asian Restaurant etc. which made that resort really special. We... more

My friend and I stayed at this new resort Sep.15-22, 2008. Considering what we saw of it in June 2008, I was amazed that it was completed in time for it's opening on Aug.29th. It's literally a 5-minute drive from the airport, a definite plus. I was told that it was the prettiest hotel on the island. From the outside... more

Just got back from this new hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean, everything worked. Really glad I brought extra toiletries as they were scarce (poor for a 5 star hotel) The food was good, lots of variety. The system they have for their restaurant bookings changed everyday and there were always massive lineups. The should do what the Ambar... more

We stayed at Riu from 9/26-9/29 for a romantic weekend getaway. The resort is less than 10 minutes from the airport. When we got to the resort, they couldn't find our reservation because they have a paper system, and if you don't have your confirmation number it takes a very long time for them to find out which room you... more

Visited the Riu Montego Bay from 9/29-10/6. While I was in good company and ultimately had a pretty good time - there is plenty of room for improvement. Here is my experience… We were given drinks during check-in, which I thought was a nice touch. The lobby was pretty. Unfortunately, the staff at the front desk were inexperienced. My party... more

Riu Montego Bay did an excellent job for opening just two weeks before we arrived. The grounds were beautiful. Room was nice. King size bed. Patio with small plastic table and chairs. Food was good. We didn't bother booking in the specialty restaurants as the buffet had such a variety each night. Entertainment was ok. Beach was ok, not great... more

We stayed at the new Riu from 9/28-10/03. It was beautiful & all the grounds were gorgeous. We were blown away by the staff constantly cleaning everywhere!! We went for our honeymoon (we are in our 50-s & 60's). The room has 2 beds (they call them full.) They are smaller than American full & they had them pushed together.... more

Had to wait 2 hours before our room was ready the young lady at the desk was polite but was a real zero when asked any questions. I blame managment for lack of training of front line staff. The room was small, clean A/C worked great everthing else was just average the bed was hard as a rock! King bed... more
